BUBBLE GUM ZOE AND THE COWBOY

It was that time of year. Zoe was preparing for the school bubble-blowing contest by using Papa’s Air Life Breathing Enhancer. Doctors were worried that he might stop breathing while he was asleep. The machine was to help strengthen Papa’s lungs. Zoe also used it for her lungs.

Last year, she placed 2nd by blowing a 47-inch bubble. Besides being extremely attractive, Zoe was athletic and competitive. She hated to lose. As a softball pitcher, she was unbeatable. By competing in sports and using Papa’s machine, she developed a solid set of bubble-blowing lungs.

This year’s winning prize was a couple of tickets to the Justin Bieber concert. Posters of Bieber decorated her bedroom. She had no trouble fantasizing about him. He’s boss, she told Bella.

Zoe’s favorite gum was Bazooka. She watched YouTube’s different bubble gum-blowing contests, from state fairs to high schools to colleges. She observed the world-record holder blow an amazing 68-inch bubble.

Zoe texted Bonnie Bubble Head asking for advice. Bonnie told her that by mixing raw rubber with Bazooka, she would eliminate early bubble blow outs.

Zoe ordered a natural gum rubber slab. When she received it, she discovered the gum had no taste until it was mixed with a chunk of Bazooka. The combination created an extra tough blowing gum.

Her competition in 2015 had been Frank, a fat 8th grader. Due to his size, he could suck in an extraordinary amount of air. Frank’s lungs took last year’s prizes, free passes and rides at the Pleasanton Fair. This year, her extra lung power and super-duper gum concoction should put her at the Justin Bieber concert.
