About this ebook

A tale of unsuspected adventure and romance.

A handsome man approached you as you mourned on the death of your beloved husband. He came with an offer you can never refuse.

"What if I told ya I could bring ya to see him, to see where he is right now?" He folded his arms, tilting his head slightly with a smile.

Will you follow your heart and embark on this journey of the unknown? Or was it just a trap of thirst?

To everyone that dares to dream and imagine.

The sky has never been so dark in my eyes. The day has never been so depressing in my life.

I watched as the coffin was slowly being brought down into the waiting hole in the ground. My eyes clouded with tears, my lips sealed tight. He died a tragic death and I didn't get to say good bye. I didn't get to say how much I loved him so. I wished this was a dream. Sadly, I had to face the reality that the love of my life was gone, forever.

People said their condolences as I stood there, staring at where he would be resting now, forever. My only wish was for him to be sent to heaven. He was the nicest, most gentle man I was proud to call as my husband.

I reminisced all the sweet memories I had with him. He was the only one. Forever he will be.

EVER SINCE THAT DAY, every morning I would come and lay fresh flowers on the bed of grass.

Today was no exception either. I schemed at the tomb, sighed.

    Hi.

I looked to my right. A man in suit stood next to me. A good looking chap. But not as near as my late husband.

Hello. I quickly wiped my tears as I smiled at the already smiling man. I stood up to meet his level.

    Are ya his wife?

He got an accent. Maybe he's not from here. An Irishman maybe? Yes. I am. May I ask, who are you? Are you his friend?

Ermm not so much of a friend. He looked for the right word. I would say... acquaintance.

I nodded. Thinking this must be a client of my late husband. I see.

I saw you coming here every single day. I looked at him intently. Oh actually I own this place. He explained before it got creepy.

    You mean this cemetery?

Yeah, somewhat. His smile never left his young, almost childish looking face.

Oh. I nodded. I looked back at my husband's tomb, wiping my tears again. The man looked at the tomb too, mindlessly.

Ya know, you shouldn't be crying so much over him.

I tried. But I just can't. I missed him so much. I wiped my again forming tears.

What I mean is... It's not worth crying for him. he said nonchalantly.

I snapped my head at him. What do you mean? You-

He was on his way to cheat on ya that night. The man looked at me sadly, like he knew something that I didn’t know about.

Wha- what? I shook my head. No. No. He's a nice man. He's the most loving husband. He's good to me, to his family. To our neighbours, to our friends. Everyone. He never once acted weirdly. He's a good, the best husband!
