About this ebook

Having served the Lord for thirty years in full-time ministry, Kim Weiler has witnessed miraculous and life-changing events. True Confessions of a Missionary is a collection of personal testimonies written to help others overcome the enemy, build their faith, and bring glory to the King of Kings. Each chapter tells the true stories of men and women forever changed by Jesus’ love and power. Physical healings, spiritual deliverance, and powerful conversions are documented and attested to by more than one person, fulfilling the words of scripture in Matthew 18:16 that every matter be established by two or more witnesses.
True Confessions of a Missionary is about giving glory to an awesome, personal God who wants to be involved in the lives of His children. The author prays that those who read it will be encouraged to pursue a deeper, more intimate relationship with our Abba Father and step out and share their testimony with a world that is lost without Him.

True Confessions of a Missionary - Kim J. Weiler

    What readers are saying

I have known Kim and Lynn for the past twenty years and have seen first-hand some of the things written in the pages of this book. I marvel at the call of God on their lives. Reading this book not only inspires me to walk closer with my Lord but also challenges me to understand how much He loves us and how patient He is with all of us. When Jesus came back from the dead, He gave gifts to men; Kim and Lynn are such gifts. I can attest that they are the real deal. We so appreciate them in our lives. I pray that as you read this book, it will inspire you to fall deeper in love with our wonderful Saviour, Jesus Christ.

I have known Kim Weiler for many years; in fact, it was out of that friendship that a personal involvement in missions developed in my own life. I have been with Kim on the mission field and witnessed first-hand some of the events described in this book. When Kim gets on the mission field, he comes alive; it is obviously his calling.

This book of testimonies will inspire and challenge you. Your faith will grow, and you will believe for greater things. This book will stir up a hunger in you for more. Each account is a testimony of what Jesus has done. He is the Bread of Life. Enjoy the stories with the knowledge that yours are being written. Great job, Kim.

In life we usually need others to assist us in accomplishing our goals. This book is no exception. Although there were others who gave wise counsel to me while I composed the testimonies of this book, two people in particular gave a lot of their time and effort to make it a reality.

Thank you, Lynn, for your encouragement and love, and for your help editing and providing content for the book.

Thank you, Myrna Mukli, for all the hours of editing, proofreading, and encouragement to get the book ready to print. You’re a great friend and sister in the Lord.

Above all, thank you, Lord, for your love and for always being with me as we stepped out to do your will. You never let us down.

    Conclusion: The Great Commission

    Foreword

I first met Kim Weiler approximately thirty years ago when we attended Faith Alive Bible College at the church I currently pastor. I didn’t know him well at the time, but I remember he led a missionary trip to Mexico, of which I was blessed to be a part. It was soon apparent to all that Kim was called and anointed to go into the mission field.

Having now known Kim for many years, I can honestly say that he has always been honourable and gracious to all. He loves God and the local church, and he has an unending passion to reach people for Jesus wherever he goes. There is within Kim a pureness of soul and spirit, a man who through many struggles and trials has kept his heart right to this day. His ministry is pure and untainted by greed or envy. Kim is a true man of God.

From the time Kim, Lynn, and their family left Faith Alive Church and courageously set out to Guatemala, their lives and ministry were never the same. God moved powerfully and blessed everything they put their hands to. Their ministry, Fe Viva World Missions, has prospered and impacted thousands upon thousands of people in Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, and every place they ventured into. People have been saved, healed, and delivered, both spiritually and naturally, as Kim has poured out his life for others.

As a church, we love and support Kim’s ministry and have him speak here a couple of times a year. Every time Kim ministers in our church, we’re blessed by his powerful preaching, amazing testimonies, and his unique humour. He never fails to teach us a powerful truth out of God’s Word, and at the same time endears himself to the church.

Over the years, many teams from churches around the globe have joined with Kim to touch lives in Central America. Every group that has participated, including those from here at Faith Alive, can testify of the good things God has done when they work together with Kim and his team. Miracles are commonplace, healings abound, and people are saved, both in the churches and on the streets.

As I read Kim’s book, I was again made aware of this simple fact: God is with Kim Weiler! Everywhere he goes, the supernatural is present. I guess this is perhaps one of the reasons for this book—to testify of all that God wants to and can do in a person who’s willing to give up their life for the call of Christ. The book is a journal of just a few exciting and powerful testimonies of what God has done in the lives of Kim and Lynn Weiler. From raising the dead and healing the sick to the supernatural leading of the Holy Spirit and prosperity, this book is action-packed and fun to read. It will stir your spirit and soul and ignite a greater desire to walk with God in the supernatural. I wholeheartedly recommend True Confessions of a Missionary.

    Introduction

Being in ministry for the Lord for thirty years, one gets to see and hear a lot of amazing things—some of them life-changing, some interesting, and some simply hard to believe. I’ve come to know that first-hand testimonies are impactful and life-changing. I can attest to the truth of what John the Revelator wrote in Revelation about how to overcome the enemy of God. Listen to these powerful words John overheard being spoken while in the Spirit:

And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him. And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God. And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death.

    —Revelation 12:9–11

Notice that the voice from heaven says Satan is overcome by two things. The first thing is the blood of the Lamb, the great sacrifice Jesus made for us, giving us access to the very presence of the Father. But we can’t ignore the second part of this verse. It would be foolish not to acknowledge this great weapon. It would be like taking a knife to a gunfight. I would much rather have a knife and a gun with me if I knew the other guy wanted to kill me.

The second part of the verse says "… and by the word of their testimony." That’s right! Our testimony is powerful, and the enemy has no defence against it. More times than I can remember I’ve heard the testimony of a fellow saint on how they were healed, saved, or protected, and it lifted my spirit to a place of greater faith and trust in God for my own situation. Our testimony is powerful because it can’t be disputed by anything or anyone. It’s ours, and we’re the witnesses of it. The Bible says that every matter shall be established by the mouth of two or three witnesses (2 Corinthians 13:1). Once something is established, it’s a fact and is considered fully true, even by the courts of the land. In fact,
