I huddled, miserable, cold, and damp, on a rickety metal chair inside the half-open doorway of the pop-up Chinese crepe café. Ten-thirty Friday morning. Why had I braved the predicted, coming storm for a blind date with Stephen, a guy who’d already stood me up twice?
On the radio behind the counter, Frank Sinatra sang I’m in the Mood for Love. Somebody had a rotten sense of humor.
