INTRODUCTION

My Story

Before going on serviced accommodation, it is important that I share my story with you. I was born and raised in Uganda. I came to England, UK to join my husband and start our family. When I first arrived in England, I worked mostly night shifts in both the children and elderly healthcare sectors.

Before we go further, let me ask you one question: has life ever hit you hard that it took you 3 steps backwards before you could make a comeback? This is what happened to me in July 2016 when I lost my job. My boss fired me on the day I was traveling to Uganda for my annual leave. She called me to her office and told me that I didn’t have to come back to work after my holiday because of a few reasons one of them being that she was restructuring her company…. I accepted the news and went on to tell my family who could not believe it. I was confused and didn’t know what to do next and where to start. We were catching our flight in a few hours so I couldn’t start searching for jobs immediately.

I have always believed and felt that nothing just happens: It was my time to maximize my potential. I then made a decision with my husband that when we returned back from Uganda, I was never going to look for another job but concentrate on the small investment of serviced apartments using the rent to rent property strategy we had started building the
