CHAPTER 1 | My Big Oopsie

My name is Amanda. I write under the pen name Mandi Rei Serra. This is my story of how political research and activism put a target on my head. Why am I writing this? Because I feel that one of the only ways I can protect myself and my children is to be as vocal as I can about how I got on an illegal government shitlist of covert harassment. All because I took publicly available information and discussed it online. More eyes are needed to see and not forget or enable.

That is why I write this.

If you search online for the phrase targeted individual you will find two camps: those who believe they made someone’s shitlist, and those who think that shitlists are figments of paranoid people’s imaginations and are to be instantly dismissed because only mentally ill people imagine they stepped on some high-ranking toes and made said shitlist.

Technically, there’s a third, albeit, quieter group: those who believe people have indeed made someone’s shitlist, and they speak up in defense of those who feel they have been unjustly targeted. However, their voices are drowned out by the don’t feed the delusions of mentally ill people folk, despite several of these group three people speaking up for others being doctors, engineers, retired FBI agents, and other people associated with first hand with harassment programs.

Admittedly, there was once a time I considered myself more aligned with the second group. I was wrong, however. One cannot grasp the entirely of the situation unless they've sat shotgun and experienced it themselves. Until that moment, at best, it's an abstract concept. I learned from my mistake of not believing others having experiences I couldn't wrap my brain around. Hopefully you can learn from my mistake and have a more open mind than I once possessed.

I wasn't always a political agitator. For six years, I was quite comfortable as a piddly author, writing fictional worlds. But then Election 2016 came about and I did my research on the candidates. Went down rabbit holes, following leads. I become aware that my daughter and I are both targeted and share very similar experiences. I began to research this program after my mother was killed November 2016 , by the Powers that Be, unbeknownst to her. This story has been the most well written and the most simplified and understandable story I have come across. It is very difficult to convey this program from all sides and do so in a way that each side is throughly explained and makes the reader have an understanding as to why that side has the opinion that they do. I wished the story had continued more into Amanda and her children’s lives, as I’d be very interested in any follow ups published. Great job Amanda!
