While breezing through the chilly morning air, Mimi looked down at the side of the sidewalk on the patch of grass to see a lone rose planted in the ground. She was early because her friend wasn’t waiting outside of the front door. She knelt down to the rose, and patted a petal with a smile. Good morning, Rose.
When Mimi heard the sound of the front door open and close, she got up to see her friend coming out to meet her. Good morning, Airi!
Good morning to you too.
Airi smiled. Mimi, you really like that rose, don’t you?
Yep, I sure do! I wish that I could just take it home, but it’ll just die.
Mimi started to walk with her friend on the sidewalk to school.
You can't think of it like that. It's living a fulfilling life each and every day.
Mimi nodded. You're right. Sorry for being a downer.
When the two friends got to school, they put their backpacks in their appropriate place by the wall outside the classroom and got out their notebooks and pencil cases
