My Journey with Pellowah - Zahraa Cariabella

    My Journey with Pellowah

    Zahraa Cariabella

    Edited by: Philomena Feather

This book is dedicated to each and every woman who knows and values how strong she is, or is yet to discover how strong she is.

To each and every gentleman, who believes he is blessed to be in the life of a strong woman.

    About this book

This book is about my personal journey, how I changed from a Muslim person, who was raised in the Middle East, to a spiritual person, who was pushed by one way or another, to change. I wrote this book with lots of emotions. I found myself crying while writing some of these pages, not because of any weakness, more so tears of appreciation for the journey, and lessons I traversed.

I did not include details that touch on my personal life, since my aim is to inspire people through my story, not to write an autobiography.

As the title suggests, the healing modality Pellowah and its founder Kachina Ma’an have had a profound effect on my journey, but the book is about me and my change, not about the healing modality, or Kachina.

Though as I have mentioned, lots of the lessons learned during this journey were by the help of Kachina.

    Preface

Zahraa’s book is a very unique perspective of a life we would never normally think about in Australia or know existed. She has gone through her experiences in a way that gives a sympathetic understanding of her life and her journey. Through her story we can see how the confines and hardships of her past have brought to the world a truly wonderful person with understanding and compassion. This is a ‘Phoenix risen from the ashes’ story that has produced an amazing spiritual woman with great strength and an unlimited amount of genuine love and kindness.

I was impressed with her book. It gave me new insights to the woman she has become.

    Forward

From the instant that you meet Zahraa you are struck by her vibrant energy and when I met her I knew straight away that this strong, confident, and slightly crazy woman would have an impact on my life!

Getting to know Zahraa and hearing about her life experiences and her spiritual journey was amazing and when she told me that she had written a book about her life to date I was keen to read it.

The contents of her manuscript did not disappoint!

It is the tale a young woman brought up in the Middle East under the local Muslim culture, but with an ever-growing awareness inside that there was another life awaiting her. She tells of the ups and downs and twists and turns that eventuated in her living in Australia, bringing up three boys on her own and still pursuing her passion to help herself and others find joy and peace and contentment.

Some of us are seekers – we cannot help but enquire about modalities, belief systems and pathways to enlightenment. It is also inherent in seekers to be curious of other seekers and their journeys; what worked, what didn’t, what did they discover along the way.

We all have our journey and our own story to tell. Zahraa has been brave enough to put her story in words and share it with the world.

To all you seekers out there: keep seeking, keep living, and keep loving!

I found Zahra’s book very inspirational and much resonated with my spiritual journey. Her experience from Pellowah has been transformational and I too have experienced amazing changes in only 3 months of Pellowah. Zahra’s story is one of courage, honesty, and wisdom, and the weaving of her culture, spirituality and her journey of finding her truth and living from a heart of authenticity is remarkable. With gratitude.

    Introduction

This is not a Pellowah manual, but I hope it will give you a good insight into Pellowah, and how it can change your life.

Usually, I ask people to wait for a year after studying Pellowah, then reflect on the changes they have noticed during that year. These changes won’t happen only in one year. Every year you can look back and notice the changes in yourself, since you began your Pellowah journey.

Kachina Ma’an (the founder of Pellowah) does not like to put herself in the public eye, since she believes if anyone is meant to learn Pellowah, they will find it. Holding and appreciating Kachina’s will, I want to write about Pellowah, believing that if you are reading these words then you already hold the end of the thread, and it is up to you to decide if you will proceed.

In this book, I am writing my story and how I was spiritually awakened in my early 40’s. There were major changes in my life that started when I was 38, and kept going until I was 42. When I looked back I noticed that I had become a different person, as if I had shed my own skin. I even looked physically different, not because of any plastic surgery, but because I was feeling happy and vibrant.

Even though this book is about how Pellowah had changed me, there are also lots of other factors that have contributed to those changes; immigrating to Australia, middle-age crisis, studying Kachina’s workshops, and hosting Kachina’s workshops. In that period of time, I was going through a massive change in my life, and I needed someone to guide me, to help me, and show me the way. Kachina’s guidance played a crucial role in that journey. For me, she is like an Angel in a human form, that GOD sent to me, at a time when I was completely lost.

This book contains the many lessons that Kachina and life have taught me, which help me to live my life as a happy person. I didn’t only study Pellowah with Kachina, but I studied almost all of her modalities and attended almost all of her workshops. I host some of her workshops. During hosting the workshops, she stays at my place and I have an amazing opportunity to talk to her, and learn from her.

Just bear in mind that Pellowah is not the only tool for enlightenment. There are thousands of ways. For me, and for lots of others, Pellowah helped us to find our path. Another thing to consider is that if you want to study Pellowah there is still work that you need to put in yourself. It is a soul journey, and no one can wash your mind, or make you do things that you don’t want to do.

To make it clear for you to know what you will find in these pages I will give you a brief definition of Pellowah, and what I consider to be enlightenment.

    Pellowah:

Pellowah is a healing technique that was founded in 2003 by Kachina

Ma’an. Many believe that this is the purest form of healing available to us at this time. Pellowah was developed as a tool for enlightenment, yet there are also incredible results at the physical level, when it is used as a healing method.

    Enlightenment:

We are all here on earth as human beings to enjoy the journey and the destination, to learn and evolve. By no means, are we meant to suffer, because we are the creators of our own reality. It is not only about being happy or enjoying our lives (which is a big part of enlightenment), but also about bringing into your life whatever you want, and doing things that make you happy. To help others to find their way and be happy. Once you understand the bigger picture of the universe, and your duty to all of humanity, then you discover that you are important to humanity, and can evolve to be an enlightened person.

All the enlightened people came up from the source with messages for us, to help us to understand that concept and apply it. Once anyone gets that concept and succeeds in applying it, they become co-creators of their reality. Since one of the things that enlightened people enjoy doing is being in the service of humanity, they start spreading the message, and teaching others how to do it.

There is also another important concept that you will hear about a lot: awakening. Lots of people confuse the concepts of awakening and enlightenment. This is how I understand the difference between the two: Awakening is knowledge and understanding, knowing who you are, and what you are here on earth to do. Enlightenment is applying that knowledge.

    For the sake of humanity,
