THE TREE

Consider the tree...

Consider what it has to endure.

It cannot change its position – it is rooted to the spot...

Have you ever stood in one place in the blazing sun for a whole day?

If you did, you’d find it extremely unpleasant.

Yet, the tree has to do this, day after week, after month... year in, and year out.

The tree cannot move into a shady spot – it provides the shade.

When the termites nibble at its roots, it cannot brush them off – it has to just stand there and take it.

When insects infest its bark and suck its sap, it cannot do anything to remove them... it has to stand there and take it.

The rains come and provide the tree with probably its only pleasure, but, if you stood in the rain for a long while, it too becomes unpleasant. The tree cannot put up an umbrella or step indoors... it has to stand there and take it.

The wind is the only thing that causes a tree to move in a limited way – it sways its branches. If you had to stand in one position without moving, until a breeze came along, you’d find it rather unpleasant. But the wind is not always gentle – it can blow destructively, and cause the tree to lose its leaves and limbs. If you lose a limb, you can go to the hospital, but a tree just has to stand there and take it. Losing leaves is, for the tree, like having your breathing limited – imagine having to breathe through a wet cloth until you could grow new leaves – it would be most unpleasant... yet, the tree stands there and takes it. In fact, the tree provides the very oxygen you breathe!

Hail and snow can be just as destructive to the tree, and also it has to endure the freezing temperatures of these times. In fact, just an ordinary summer’s night can turn bitterly cold and yet, the tree stands there and takes it.

When the earth itself makes a fuss, and sends flows of lava, or mud, or landslide, or flood, the tree cannot move out of the way... it has to just stand there and take it.

When lightening or fire comes and burns the tree, it cannot move – it has to stand there and take it. Imagine what it would feel like to be burned like that and not be able to move away!

So, whatever the whims of the weather or the earth, the tree has to just stand there and take it!

Lucky for you, YOU are not as limited as the tree!

YOU can do something!

When life hurts, or the things in your environment are uncomfortable, or past incidents have scarred you, or you experience an event that you would rather not... you are not forced to just stand there and take it.

You are not a tree. So, you can continue to just take it...

Or you can DO something!

The choice is yours.

1.

Once you have initiated your journey of change, you cannot stop, abort or go back.

Once you have committed, you have sent a clear message to the Universe that you have decided.

And once you have decided, Universal laws come into play that are irrevocable!

When you are up against the wall, and there seems to be no way out...

Remember, there is always another way!

If you keep looking, you will find that way!

You can only know as much about yourself as your mind can work out under its current conditions.
