- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5At with the first book in the series, this is more a thoughtful exploration of what it means to be human than an action adventure. There's no sex; there is a good bit more political intrigue in this novel than in its predecessor. At points the story dragged, and some of the twists in the middle of the book didn't really add much, but the ending was dramatic and worth the trouble.
