The Loss of a Home
IN 2030, EARTH WAS met with an alien species making peaceful encounters with other species in the universe. Meetings at first with the alien species, known as the quadons, were kept in quarantine zones to keep unknown foreign bacteria from spreading. The meetings had representatives from multiple countries from the United Nations with representatives from the quadon government.
How can we know that these aliens are not going to immediately turn on us if they get the chance to.
said the representative from China.
We don’t know but if they went out of their way to talk to us first then we could consider seeing what they want.
said the representative from the United Kingdom.
I can assure all you and the people of Earth that my species are just trying to help other life forms out there. We believe that if multiple forms of life come together they can help and protect each other from external threats they can’t defend on their own.
said one of the three quadon representatives from their government.
You may say that now but you can easily go back on that later.
said the United States representative.
My kind will help you humans when you need it most I can promise that and if you decide to contact the other alien life that we have cataloged you may. Let us set up a trade route with your planet at least to help build trust with your kind we only want a few items and we will give plenty in return.
Quadons were light blue in skin tone, some with slightly darker tone of blue along with eyes that were dark as the midnight sky showing only the reflection of anyone who looked into them. Long slit-like nostrils cut down the center of their faces flaring as they exhaled, their hands splitting into four finger-like extremities, and as a species were very lanky and taller than any person coming in at eight feet tall.
Earth decided that this trade route proposal would be a good start to see what the quadons could do and to see what they gave to them in return. Earth gave quadons resources that interested which included steel, kevlar, and carbon fiber. Earth in return received advance technology along with new foreign resources. Foreign bacteria eventually broke out infecting thousands of people within a month.
Within three months an outbreak of the alien bacteria was announced with it having infected millions already. Most people didn’t die right away but with the infection not being able to be quarantined off people were panicking and the governments had a tough time calming their people down. The quadons were able to calm down most human telling the name of the bacteria named V6. A cure was easily made since the quadons knew what they were doing when they found out which bacteria it was. The V6 changed every Earth month so the cure would have to deal with that aspect of the bacteria.
The dead bodies of the people killed from the bacteria mutated causing them to grow boils which then bursted spreading the V6 more. Quadons helped the scientists to develop a semi-cure for the V6 outbreak in which it attached to the V6 and changed along with it every month keeping the side effects at bay. The V6 wasn’t able to be destroyed instead having it laying dormant inside every person on Earth. Later on it was found out that the V6 along with the solution to keep it dormant was being passed down to newborns as well. With the V6 now being dormant the quadons immediately started dealing with the anger from humans and over a long six months they calmed down the people. One thing most species the quadons came in contact with didn’t know was that they were master with words and could calm down a person from anger and put away their fear in a rather short time. The time depended on whether or not how much the quadons could understand the species and could decrease the time as they learn from that particular life form.
As more time passed by the relationship with the quadons grew stronger as they helped humans with curing diseases and helped built new technologies. With the quadons not being affected that much by Earth’s bacteria lived side by side with humans. Still some people didn’t trust the quadons believing they had alternative plans but the majority of the humans trusted the quadons. In 2045 Earth sent their first expedition into space to actually explore planets and if possible explore them on the surface. Using the quadons warp rings they have set up Earth launched the first group of people to explore space.
Fifteen years after the first expedition Earth had picked up a large moving object near Pluto that wasn’t a naturally formed space object. Further scans and sending scouts out revealed that it was a three gigantic spaceship moving toward them with a fleet of smaller ships. The ship would drop what looked like scouting bots at every planet they passed as they headed toward Earth. Quadons were informed of the ship and when they looked at the images of them they recognized the blue and white marking that were tattered on it. The representative of the quadon government contacted their leaders on their home world to discuss the findings Earth found and what the next step was.
Within a day three large vessels from the quadons arrived with the representative explaining to the governments of the world what the threat that was heading toward them. The quadon explained that the ships belonged to the replains a extremely hostile race and have destroyed previous colonies of theirs before. When the question was raised of why they didn’t fight them off the quadon said they tried but the replains had better more efficient and more deadly laser weapons then them along with a better hull made from a material they don’t
