About this ebook
Each day I take our husky Louie for a walk on the path to ponds edge, when we return home I write about what I have seen. These poems are filled with many characters from owls to dragonflies and even deer. We have encountered darkness, fog, rain, wind, heat, humidity and sub-zero cold, the one constant in all of our adventures together is life. Ah Life, large as the universe small as an ant, filled with texture, light, shadows, sound, humor and dreams. Come with Louie and I on our journeys to ponds edge, it's a place nearby, your own back yard.

To my daughter Olivia who inspires me each and every day. I love you.
Pain And Pleasure
It’s a sultry day and Louie lingers
a bit too long at the edges of the path
stirring up pesky mosquitos,
the little hooligans swarm around me
as I flail about in a futile attempt
to keep them at bay, ouch!
Quickly we move on,
looking down I see a winged insect
flying slow and low, really low,
it’s a turbulent flight up, down and side to side,
upon closer inspection I see the wings are fixed,
yikes it’s a flying corpse,
I kneel down to discover
the energy behind this reanimation
is an industrious ant,
big entertainment provided by tiny inhabitants
of ponds edge
Visions In The Night
