24096.pngIt’s 1956 and Jerry Clardy is a sergeant in the USAF stationed at Eglin AFB, Florida, which is about 15 miles north of Ft Walton Beach. Jerry was a handsome young man at 6 feet 2 inch tall, with blond hair and blue eyes and had a strong athletic body that turned all the girls heads.
He often visited the elegant white sandy beaches just east of Ft. Walton for the purpose of meeting some of the beautiful young ladies who were on vacation or just spending a few days at the beach.
One of those days he noticed a crowd of young men and women gathered near the volleyball court and decided to join them. They started choosing sides and he was picked along with a lovely tall blond girl named Alice, as a team mate. They played all afternoon with Jerry and Alice’s team winning most of the matches. Late in the afternoon everyone decided to quit for the day.
