Autor de Rescoldos (1995), Brevesencias (1996), Nostalgia de no ser mar (1997), Mano abierta (1998), El desierto del mundo (1998), El patio de la bugambilia (1998), Orilla de la madrugada (1999), Misterios iluminados/Illuminated Mysteries (2001), La consigna y el milagro (2003), Una vez un hombre (2004), Con ansia enamorada (traducciones de la obra de Irving Layton, 2004) y La consigna y el milagro/The Summons and the Miracle (2005). Actualmente cursa la maestra en Artes en la Universidad de Texas en San Antonio.



    He was born in Jalisco, Mexico in 1972 and currently resides in San Antonio, Texas. Julio studied medicine and received his medical degree in Mexico. He is a poet and translator. He authored Rescoldos (1995), Brevesencias (1996), Nostalgia de no ser mar (1997), Mano abierta (1998), El desierto del mundo (1998), El patio de la bugambilia (1998), Orilla de la madrugada (1999), Misterios iluminados/Illuminated Mysteries (2001), La consigna y el milagro (2003), Una vez un hombre (2004), Con ansia enamorada (translation of poetry by Irving Layton, 2004) y La consigna y el milagro/The Summons and the Miracle, 2005). He is currently pursuing a Master of Arts degree at the University of Texas in San Antonio.
