    Synopsis

Sam is a middle-class African American male who is not concerned about the pressing problems of the black community. He is a black Republican who voted for George Tush in 2000. Eventually, he loses his job because of outsourcing. Before this took place, he was passed over for a promotion, and the job was given to a less qualified candidate.

Sam gets involved with a community group, because he is trying to hook up with a fine sister by the name of Bernice from the old neighborhood. However, Bernice’s involvement slows down drug trafficking in the ’hood. The drug gang tries to kill her, but Sam brings her low to the ground. She is hit by one bullet in her lower ribs, and the bullet ricochets off a wall and hits Sam in the temple.

Sam finds out in the hospital that he can draw extra strength at will, for short periods of time, when he is stressed. A female doctor, Lakiesha Theresa Jones, tells how people subconsciously get superhuman strength from their adrenaline. She figures the bullet causes Sam’s brain to have conscious access to his superhuman strength during times of great stress.

Thus, a superhero is born, fighting for the weak, the unpopular, and the greatest challenges facing America, especially black America.

In the previous issue, the story ended with a new supervillian, MC, which stands for Middle Class. This villain goes about dealing with injustices to the hard-working middle class, which he believes is because of greedy corporate leaders and spineless politicians. Race, our hero, meets a psychic Asian stripper by the name of Brenda Lee. Our hero also makes the difficult decision to protect the former CEO of FOAD, whose daughter helps out the poor, unemployed, disabled, and disfranchised people in America. Our hero is not getting anywhere with the girl next door. Sam’s boss is working hard to find out his secret identity. He also encounters another villain by the name of Magic.
