Quite frankly the secret baby trope is fine. It's the continuous lying/keeping it from the mmc that's annoying in books like this one especially when there's no real reason. So she couldn't contact him for 2 years because of the circumstances, I get that. But from the time he came back she's so busy trying to get with him for herself she's not bothering to say anything even though she constantly saying in inner dialog she needs to tell him, shouldn't pursue anything until she does, then next breath saying she doesn't want to ruin a reunion with him by telling him. Telling him how he can be honest with her about things hes been through meanwhile hasn't been honest with him about anything. So safe to say the mfc annoys the heck out of me and so far I'm not a fan of hers. Hopefully her character arc gets better in the next book
