Think little goals and expect little achievements. Think big goals and win big success.
- David Joseph Schwartz
Introduction
It is the first and foremost step to be successful in your life. Just remember that if you do not have the courage to dream big then you will never accomplish big things. The ideology of Think big
is the key success for all great leaders. It is important to realize the fact that the secret of success in life is to think big
. It is not the degrees from prestigious institutes, but the ability to dream and systematically follow your dreams which matters utmost. Education is merely a tool, which can help you to achieve your dreams and make it big.
Most of the world’s billionaires made their fortunes from scratch, by following their dreams. Many of these self-made tycoons are college or high school dropouts. The most famous billionaire dropout is Microsoft’s Bill Gates, who recently received his honorary degree from Harvard University almost 30 years after quitting school to sell software.
Dhirubhai Ambani, Son of a rural school teacher had mere Rs. 15K (350$) in 1958 to start a trading house but just because he could think big he was able to create multi billion dollar empire and the biggest company in India- Reliance Industries.
The world is full of such rags to riches stories and all these achievers surely had this single thing in common - think big
Do not limit your dreams by applying boundaries - We can always condition our mind to dream of the possibilities without giving in to limiting self-doubt. The major showstopper to the whole think big
ideology is fear. Fear of failure, fear of rejection, fear of losing what we already have in our hands. Always try to remember A ship in harbor is safe, but that’s not why ships are built
(John Shedd)
While thinking big please do not pre-qualify yourself with limitations such as no money in pocket, not educated, not experienced, too late or too early. Always remember all those who have reached to the top also went through similar phases in their lives. They all fought through their fears and created their own histories; they rejected their fear and focused exclusively on their dreams.
They all had only one thing fixed firmly in their mind; their dream, so they did not allow any doubts to stay in their mind as they had no room for doubt. Finally they embraced the success. No success can be achieved without imagining the same in mind first.
Alchemist book by Paulo Coelho is a bestseller book that has sold millions copies and the essence of book is When you want something, all the world conspires in helping you to achieve it. Whatever we are, it is because we have made it happen to us. The choice is always yours that you want to live as a poor victim of circumstances or as an adventurer in quest of hidden treasure.
As Byrne author of another leading book Secret, nothing can come into your experience unless you summon it through persistent thoughts. The law of attraction is the law of creation. You create your life through your thoughts. With this powerful knowledge, you can completely change every circumstance and event in your entire life.
As such all real life stories or these books from great authors just have one secret to share Think big to be big
.
Note: Dreams which we want to focus here are mainly your professional & career desires.
How Dreams Come True?
I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life and that is why I succeed.
-Michael Jordan
Remember the following three key factors and your dreams will never fail:
1. Be 100% convinced. If you yourself are not convinced about the success of your dream it is likely to fail. With even 80% conviction held in your mind the chances of success will only be 10% to 20%. If you are 100% convinced the chances of success are 100% if you take the following two points into consideration.
When the mind is not sure about something, it will start figuring out reasons why success cannot be achieved, and once these reasons are planted in the mind then surely failure is guaranteed.
The dream is real, my friends. The failure to realize it is the only unreality.
-Toni Cade Bambara
2. Dreams without the goal setting and planning are directionless and will lead you nowhere.
You cannot reach the destination without moving in it’s direction step by step. You need to plan for each step in advance otherwise you may end up even drifting away from your destination.
This is also true in the case of dreams, if you rush in without goal setting and planning then the end result could be loss of money, effort, time and even irrecoverable losses. Always remember this golden quote:
By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.
-Benjamin Franklin
3. You should have fire in your belly to achieve your goals, and transform that fire in to series of actions that will ultimately help you to achieve your dreams step by step.
When your desires are strong enough you will appear to possess superhuman powers to achieve.
- Napoleon Hill
In my neighborhood there is 45 year old man, he always thinks big. He dreams to be owner of a big store, but he never planned how to
