Early 1981—Summer Monthst
Salomi had three adult daughters—Maria, Elizabeth, and Christina—and one son, Phil. She was living an independent life. At the backyard of her house, she had livestock, cattles and goats, that she inherited from her dead husband years ago. They were all living happily together as one big family. Salomi was on pension as she was an old lady who was using a stick to walk. Later Maria got married and moved to live with her husband, and Phil was married too but still living with them in the same house. Salomi, Elizabeth, and Christina lived in a very big house that was built by Phil.
Phil was an engineer who used to specialize with steel, and he was paid a lot of money that could support his entire family almost for the period of a life time. His wife, Anabelle, was from a poor family. She was a nice beautiful lady from next door after they had just moved in recently. Phil’s family was the first to arrive at the location. At the time there were only a few houses around. Anabelle’s family was the second to arrive, close to Phil’s house, which made them new neighbours. Phil was so charmed to see the new good-looking neighbour that he couldn’t resist asking her out often, and it was almost impossible for her to say no. Anabelle was so happy to finally meet her soul mate. later it was revealed they where an item.
They kept going out very frequently until the time came to make an announcement to their families that they were getting married. Anabelle’s family was so happy because they knew that being poor, Phil could now be their source of monthly income.
She was engaged, and later, they had a white wedding. Phil was now a happily married man, but he did not have the idea of getting married and move out of the house of his mother and all the daughters he wanted to continue staying with them. and he asked his wife to move in with him into his mother’s house that he builder for her after the death of his father. At work, all the colleagues were very happy to hear that he was now a married man, and they could get to see all the wedding pictures soon. His wife was unemployed and spent almost every day at home. She couldn’t let the rest of her family starve to death; none of them worked either. She thought to herself, how about I ask all my family to come to his house for breakfast and lunch every day when my husband goes to work? And of course, in the presence of his husband’s family.
After a couple of years on a Monday afternoon when Phil arrived home from work, he had a good news for his wife! One of his friends told him that they were looking for staff at a tailor’s store for sewing cloths. Phil thought this could be a good job for his wife. Also the end time at the store was the same as it was at his workplace so he could pick her up on his way home.
He arrived home and went straight to his wife and told her the good news. ‘What would you do if I told you I have found a job for you?’ he asked.
Stunned, Anabelle replied, ‘Really!?’
Phil said, ‘Yes!’
‘Yes, I would like to take it,’ she said.
Phil was happy and thought he could rest assured that his family was heading in the right direction.
The following day, Tuesday, he was full of happiness when he woke up and performed the daily tasks he does every day before he goes to work. He took a shower, got dressed, ate his breakfast, and kissed his wife goodbye. On arrival at work, he went to his friend and asked if the job at the tailor’s store
