    The Garden

The definition of garden means a protected and cultivated place.

The Garden is a powerful metaphor of what our hearts are in the natural and what we become in the supernatural after we have the knowledge that God imparts through our relationship with Him.

The dimension we live in before we come to know Him is the natural realm and we are tied to the things of this world and the pride of life. The cares of the world destroy the natural man’s life by the works of the flesh, as described in His word. The natural man can look good on the outside but looking on the inside the destruction is self evident in most of our lives if we have the courage to be honest before a loving God. Nothing good dwells in the flesh. God says this about the heart:

Matthew 15:18,19 (ESV) But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this defiles a person. It is out of the heart that evil thoughts come, as well as murder, adultery, sexual immorality, stealing, false testimony, and slander.

Hebrews 6:8 (ESV) but if it bears thorns and thistles it is worthless and near to being cursed, and its end is to be burned.

In the new garden in Christ, the new dimension we are to abide in is called grace. This dimension is cultivated by God Himself. He grows the fruit of the spirit by teaching His children to abide in Christ Jesus. God cultivates and builds His truths in our life through the relationship we have with Him and He is glorified.

John 15:5 (NLT) "Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing."

Galatians 5:22,23 (NIV) "But the fruit of the
