About this ebook

This book is a fitting rendition of of our simple day-to-day thoughts on inspiration and hope. Yet, the book excels as a lasting memorial for my husband, Martin Freier, and as a fourth sequel to the historical, biographical series, which begins with the first book, The Grayling Hidden Truth Poems. Originally written to express heartfelt interest in Martin's struggle for survival as a young man in Nazi Slovakia, the four books evolved into a mystical expression of fear, hope, and inspiration. Even though this story is unmiquely Martin's story, the composite effect of all of the books enligtens us to think what if I were Martin. This to me is the therapeutic, soothing effects of the powerful message of hope for peace and faith in oneself that is beaded into the wonder of words of these books. It has been my pleasure to relate these journeys of life to you.

Author

Cheryl Freier

Cheryl Freier has lived in the Boston area for over 40 years. For many years, Cheryl taught young children in preschool; it is because of this great teaching experience that she grew to understand the importance of reading and children’s literature for young children. In the development of her illustrations, she has painstakingly tried to recreate images in a creative and appealing style of art for young children. She writes text for her storybooks in an exciting way, while she very deftly follows a Biblical theme or other theme that she knows the children have been familiar with and would like. She is excited over publishing two storybooks; the first is entitled, The Shepherd Boy And The Sheep Alphabet and the second storybook is entitled: Open The Gates In Jerusalem For The Queen Of Sheba. Both books are rich with flowing lines and bright, vivid colors. Both books are easy to read and the words and sentences flow from the beginning to the end of the book. Cheryl feels proud that she is enhancing her reach to the high level of literacy of the Boston area. She continues to seek themes of interest to young children.

    Yonder—let us make a toast to a good life for the future. We shall clink to a world filled with mirth and wonder for the future and hopefully for the present. For the present and for the wishes and hopes for yonder: hopefully will flow the streams of acceptance of thoughts from the past. Hopefully, I will find the countenance of the Lord forever and forever. It is interesting to point out that before King David became the king of our nation of people, he was wantonly pursued by King Saul. As the story tells, (STORIES OF KING DAVID-Jewish Publication Society, 1952, p. 52.), King David was certain that King Saul would find the cave where he was hiding. He waited to see what would happen. While waiting a large spider came down from the rocks above and went into motion spinning her web over the open entrance of the cave. When King Saul searched the area of rocks, he came across the cave. Seeing the spider’s web meticulously spun over the entrance and finding the entrance closed, he ventured to pass the cave. David had escaped the wrath of King Saul for this time. On another time that he was pursued by King Saul and his men, (STORIES OF KING DAVID, p.59), "Having been dragged out of King Saul’s court by King Saul’s soldiers, and taken to the border of the City of Gath, he was flung to the ground… . David lay on the ground watching them go. He lay alone in the dust, and then a great calmness came over him. A song rose in his heart and these words came to his lips as he sang them:

    ‘I will bless the Lord at all times;

    His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

    The Lord redeems the soul of His servants;

    And none of them that take refuge in him shall be desolate’"

    Be aware that the past, although forever gone, determines the present and the future. Remembering the good thoughts or learning from the past is the
