Seated at the Masters Table: One Woman's Perspective on 9/11
()
About this ebook
Seated at The Masters Table chronicles Dodds life changing journey that abruptly began in New York with the events of Tuesday, September 11, 2001. While the diagnosis of multiple sclerosis she received the year before was significant, it didnt compare with seeing the World Trade Center Twin Towers melt like candles on a birthday cake. Curiously, Dodd saw it as a decisive moment to begin living life differently.
Dodd tells of her journey toward a more purposeful life. Seated depicts the sometimes tough process of moving toward a more conscious life. To the point of 9/11, her life had been almost mechanical and always based on somebody elses script. Seated speaks to not only the necessity of each of us writing our own script, but writing that script based on regular consultation with the Master, preferably over a great meal!

PREFACE
I hate to learn tough lessons more than once. In my opinion, it’s a colossal waste of time. We’ve all experienced this and chances are we’ll probably have to learn many life lessons more than once. I’ve written this book because I want to make the best possible use of your time, and ultimately your life. The events of 9/11 affected me deeply and personally. The horrific events of that day pushed me to get in the game of my life like nothing else ever has.
Conventional wisdom says that we have to learn from personal experience to better learn and remember the lesson. The way around this is to learn from another’s personal experiences. The problem is that we don’t often share our lessons; fear, shame, embarrassment, busyness, and even selfishness get in the way. So use this book as both a guide and companion to help you more quickly move beyond the negative circumstances that will inevitably enter your life. At the same time know that every circumstance, positive or negative, has purpose. Every circumstance is part of your life’s tapestry, so lovingly orchestrated by God that it makes Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper look like kindergarten art.
I heard a story today about a young girl that acknowledges Jesus as her Lord and Savior. She was asked what she does when trouble comes knocking at her door. Her response was I used to answer the door and then get really scared. But when trouble comes now, I just say, Jesus, you answer the door
.
I encourage you to start the conversation with Jesus and take a seat at the Master’s table daily!
To my beloved daughter, Zoe Elise. May you always live the zoe, God kind of life. You are blessed and your seat at the Master’s table is secured.
Heartfelt thanks to Lori Bailey for your input and encouragement. Your friendship and support through this can never be repaid!
The world breaks everyone, and afterward, some are strong at the broken places.

¹¹ For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.
¹² Then you will call upon Me, and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear and heed you.
¹³ Then you will seek Me, inquire for, and require Me [as a vital necessity] and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.
¹⁴ I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I
