From her role as program coordinator for the all-girls group, Sophisticated Ladies, to her current role as PTA president, her volunteer experience with children provides her with the desire to write stories for the young. From 2000 to present, and with the help of AuthorHouse publishing, LaBauve has self-published three other titles that the young and the young at heart rave about. LaBauve resides in the San Francisco Bay Area with her two children.

WELCOME TO KINDERGARTEN
Hi. My name is Diamond, and I have a friend named Ruby. I also have a friend name Emmy, but that is not her real name. Her real name is Emerald, but Emmy does not like to be called Emerald, so we call her Emmy. And only her best friends can call her that. So, since I am one of her best friends, I call her Emmy. I have a friend named Pearl too.
