About this ebook

>“We the People” have had it pretty good since WWII. Our prosperity has resulted in our collective apathy toward the corrupt progression of what once were servants of the People into life-long “career politicians” in Washington, D.C. who have become our elite political ruling class.

>Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Today in our United States we have an all-powerful central government enabled by a subservient media propelling our nation toward the living hell described in George Orwell’s 1984 where truth cannot be found—where freedom does not exist.

>Upside Down clearly defines the immediate action “We the People” can and must take to restore what used to be our government of, by, and for the people. If we choose to continue to sit on the sidelines and not get involved, we will transition from apathy to dependence and out of that dependence will come the bondage from which we rose 239 years ago.

    PREFACE

    FREEDOM CANNOT EXIST IN THE

    ABSENCE OF TRUTH

Our nation is dying. You know it. You feel it. The American people—We the People—have lost control of our own country. We fought a forty year long cold war to allegedly stop the spread of Soviet-style totalitarian Socialist/Marxist/Communist/Fascist oppression, only to now see this evil take root right here in the United States. Due to our complacency and apathy after World War II we neglected our duty as citizens to keep a watchful eye on our own government. Our self-anointed rulers seem to forget that the Revolutionary War was fought specifically to free the Colonies from totalitarian British oppression as evidenced by career politicians who seek to establish their version of permanent oppressive totalitarian central government in Washington, D.C. Those who want to be life-long members of our elite political ruling class believe not in government of, by, and for the people; they are steadily moving toward totalitarian government operating in spite of the people.

This is how freedom slips away.

Like it or not, admit it or not, our beloved nation is currently struggling with our second civil war. This time it is not to prevent certain states from seceding from the Union over issues such as a slave-driven economy. This time our civil war has several fronts. One battle line is between We the Taxpaying People and proponents of Big Government, both Republicans and Democrats, who want to maintain their status as our elite political ruling class. It would be prudent for all of us in this country to understand that the larger government gets the smaller We the People become, and a government big enough to give us everything we want is big enough to take away everything we have.

It must be said early on that it is never appropriate for our government to lie to us. It is never acceptable for Republicans to lie to cover for other Republicans just like it is never acceptable for Democrats to lie to cover fellow Democrats. If our government lies to us for any reason, our taxes are effectively being used against us as our government becomes an illegitimate, unsustainable monstrosity engaged in its own self-preservation. This is unconstitutional tyranny against We the People.

The term upside down perfectly describes what Big Government has become in direct opposition to our Constitution, which defines our government’s very specific, very limited scope and authority. Furthermore, upside down also describes the reality of the nature of the Beast (Reagan-era description for big central government) in stark contrast to what Big Government proponents claim is its true nature. The reality is the Beast only wants to grow larger and more powerful for all the wrong reasons, which is exactly upside down from the propaganda we hear every day that Big Government has the best interest of We the People at heart. The Beast claims it works for what it self-servingly defines as the common good as it sucks the life out of the economy and makes us all poorer—ensuring we all eventually become dependent on the Beast as it decides who gets to win, who deserves to lose, who is allowed to prosper, and who is not. The Beast claims it is on the people’s side when in reality it sees We the People not as its creator and employer, but as nothing more than living assets off which it feeds and grows as its subjects exist only to sustain it and perform its bidding. This is exactly upside down from the spirit and intent of our Constitution, which was written specifically to prevent limited central government from becoming the Beast into which it has evolved.

One of the big economic debates during the Reagan years was which comes first—shrinking the size of government, then cutting taxes, or cutting taxes, which forces reduction in Big Government and the tyranny and corruption that always coincides with too much central power. Unfortunately the Beast has become so large it has taken on a life of its own and operates in spite of the people it has enslaved in part so it can effectively protect past and present members of our socio/economic/political ruling class who have committed heinous crimes against us. The Beast maintains control over what has become a dependent and servile people by administering what Franklin Delano Roosevelt called the narcotic that is financial handouts, which have the effect of building dependence on Big Central Government that ensures complacency and apathy toward the rising tide of governmental tyranny in these United States. The Beast molds our children’s perception of reality with the illusion of an education that consists of a systematic brainwashing that dependence on Big Government is perfectly acceptable, as is hatred for those who have worked to build successful businesses outside the cocoon of the Big Central Government nanny state. The Beast is out of control and needs to be starved until it no longer threatens the freedom, sovereignty, and security of what was the original version of the United States of America. Ironically, the Beast claims it needs to get bigger, more powerful, and more intrusive into our daily lives to fight the very terrorism it created. Feeding the Beast through continued unlimited funding will ultimately result in the end of all of our freedoms and liberties coincident with the end of U.S. sovereignty.

The Beast’s global initiative is to dominate and subjugate the world—through central financial and social control.

A second battle line in what has evolved into our second civil war is the conflict between Big Government and private industry. This battle between Big Government and private business and industry also results in the complete insanity of Big Government fighting and demonizing capitalist private enterprise, which is the only source of real, sustainable jobs and real, sustainable tax revenue into the U.S. Treasury. Big Government propagandists want us to believe that Big Government can create jobs when nothing could be further from the truth. Not only is Big Government totally incapable of creating real, sustainable, tax-generating jobs, some of the 587 federal bureaucracies, whose sum total defines the Beast, replace real, sustainable private jobs, while others literally destroy real, sustainable private jobs through millions of pages of anti-energy/anti-business red tape and overregulation. The ultimate insult is our bloated, out-of-control federal government uses our hard earned tax dollars against us as federal bureaucracies kill private industry as well as businesses, both large and small, that support what little is left of our decimated industrial base. The true irony is big, inefficient, corrupt, self-serving central governments always become suicidal as they kill private industry and sustainable, tax revenue-generating industry and jobs. Ironically, Big Governments always foolishly cut off their only source of sustainable funding which they want to grab and redistribute in their effort to maintain and expand their own power at the expense of We the People. The suicidal reductions in tax revenues has been temporarily offset by creating a dangerous false economy by simply printing trillions of dollars out of thin air and that, my dear friends, is not sustainable. The result is Big Government has been winning while private enterprise and We the People lose, as evidenced by the added insanity of annual trillion-dollar deficits due to an out-of-control federal government that blows though $10 billion a day, billions of that Beastly number deficit spending, some of which is borrowed from unfriendly nations like China. If Big Government is such a blessing, why do we have $18 trillion in national debt?

This second civil war is also fueled by envy and class warfare as Big Government first destroys sustainable private sector high paying middle class jobs through over-regulation and taxation, then tries to justify unsustainable high paying government bureaucratic middle class jobs. Since no society has ever survived intact without a middle class, Big Government serves its own delusional, unsustainable self-preserving agendas when it first destroys the middle class then pretends to have the answers to the income inequality it created in the first place by proposing disingenuous, ridiculous fixes like raising the minimum wage!

Unfortunately, this second civil war, like the first, also pits brother against brother because there is now a sharp divide between "We the Taxpaying People (a.k.a. makers) and We the Tax-Consuming People (a.k.a. takers). We the Taxpaying People are members of the capitalist tax revenue-creating makers" who understand that the only way to maintain our national freedom and independence is through hard work within a free market system functioning in response to the laws of supply and demand (not government interference).

Some able-bodied members of "We the Tax-Consuming People enable this nation’s evolution toward totalitarian Big Government by contentedly sitting back and letting the government throw table scraps in their general direction after our elitist political ruling class in Washington, D.C., finishes their prime rib dinners. They vote for whoever will promise to keep them on the government teat, selfishly sacrificing the futures of their (and our) children and grandchildren, unable to look beyond their next government check, pitifully deluding themselves into believing those checks will continue to come regardless of the size of the national debt. Some members of the takers class seem to believe that the $18 trillion in debt with which the Beast has burdened us is of no consequence even as the government presses run constantly just to print enough dollars out of thin air to pay interest due. Other able-bodied folks are simply the victims of an underachieving economy that is being thwarted by tax, spend, and borrow Socialist/Marxist Democrats who seem to not grasp the reality that Socialist/Marxist Big Governments always first fail to spend their way into the utopia they disingenuously promise, then collapse under their own weight, which is about where we are right now. As Founding Fathers like Thomas Jefferson feared might happen, the nation is just about evenly split between the makers and the takers with our current president and his Socialist/Marxist Democrat supporters promoting class envy and outright class warfare as a cornerstone of their twisted war against capitalism, free markets, and free enterprise that made us the strong, independent world leader we once were. As a member of the shrinking middle class, it is appalling that it is now acceptable for the California Teacher’s Union to create a cartoon of the rich" standing above the middle class while peeing on our heads.

What is difficult to believe is that the takers bite the hand that feeds them. That hand is the makers, previously described as capitalists who, because of their relative success, the takers have been shamelessly brainwashed into hating by career politicians who fan the flames of class envy to win re-elections by promising continued government handouts. These self-serving career politicians know that the same handouts that used to be temporary can only be made permanent if dependence on the government is seen as socially acceptable. It is to their shameful discredit that Socialist/Marxist, Big Government Democrats are succeeding in their propaganda efforts to make it acceptable to not work while simultaneously hating those who do and through their hard work prosper by pulling their own weight. This class warfare is the same as that described in the Manifesto of the Communist Party, published way back in 1847 by Karl Marx and Frederick Engels. The fatally flawed and thoroughly disproven economic and social theories of Marx and Engels just happen to be exactly upside down from the entrepreneurial spirit that made the United States great.

Another front in our second civil war is between We the People and powerful globalists right here in the United States who want to see the United States weakened and humbled to the point where we are no longer a world superpower. Globalists want We the People reduced to a dependent, subservient population easily led into bondage as our once proud nation quickly evolves into either some hideous, unrecognizable version of the United States of China, and/or just a small cog in an enigmatic, totalitarian New World Order/One World Government. The term United States of China can be a metaphor for our nation’s evolution into a totalitarian Socialist/Marxist State but can unfortunately be a literal possibility as our nation is being sold out from under us by an out-of-control self-serving government operating completely outside constitutional limits.

Either way, it should be obvious that nowhere in our Constitution is the authority granted for any elected public servant, even presidents, to maliciously undermine the sovereignty and independence of the United States. Any such anti-American actions or policies are not only upside down from the spirit and intent of our Constitution, but prohibited by it in Article III, Section 3 and subsequent federal law like 18 U.S. Code 794.

How far would powerful past and present high-ranking members of government go to avoid prosecution for treason, violations of 18 U.S. Code 794, or other felony criminal activity? Would they go so far as to ensure our destruction by first eradicating our Second Amendment rights, immediately followed by elimination of our First Amendment rights, then violate the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878 and use our own military to disarm, arrest, and detain We the People right here on U.S. soil? If using our military is deemed too tyrannically obvious, then what about using Homeland Security in conjunction with the unpatriotic Patriot Act to kick down our doors while we sleep? Or perhaps unconstitutional abominations like the National Defense Administration Act Obama signed in late 2011 and subsequent unconstitutional Executive Order #13603 which could be used to declare a self-made false flag emergency so marshal law could be invoked? The power retention options available to an illegitimate, unconstitutional, unlawful central government with a $10,000,000,000-a-day budget that is willing to lie to and suppress its people and ignore the rule of law are nearly infinite. But never forget, there are over three hundred million of us and only a few hundred of them.

If you think about it, it’s really quite simple. If there is no United States of America, then there is no Constitution that defines treason, and no 18 U.S. Code 794 that, under certain circumstances, includes capital punishment for any person found guilty of its violation. Is the collapse of the United States what the anti-American globalists want to facilitate so as our country ceases to exist in its present form they can escape accountability for past crimes and see the end of a free and independent United States? For some who have made Communist China their bedfellow there is no turning back, explaining in part the insanity of U.S. debt that pulls us all ever closer to future enslavement to the Chinese, which they believe allows them to escape accountability for past crimes that hang over their heads as long as We the People are free and independent. The reason globalists are obsessed with eradicating our Second Amendment rights is really quite simple—they know a disarmed and subservient people are incapable of demanding justice for past and present tyranny.

As you read on, please remember a couple of truths that have relevance in our collective efforts to avoid becoming the United States of China:

    • The definition of insanity is doing the same things over and over, expecting different results.

    • Without the truth, We the People are not free.

    • Anyone who lusts after power—anyone who needs power—should never be given the power they crave because they will always abuse and misuse that power to the detriment of We the People. One of the few certainties in life is that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

As stated above, any government big enough to give us everything we want is big enough to take away everything we have, and that includes not just our guns but all of our assets, our freedoms, and our liberties, placing We the People, our children, and our grandchildren into bondage.

Freedom has a price. That price is hard work, personal responsibility, and a contribution to society. Slavery is easy. It stems from dependence that ends up putting us all at the mercy of an all powerful, self-serving, elite socio/economic/political ruling class—the Beast.

Upside down is the only way to describe our completely inept and dysfunctional political ruling class in Washington, D.C. which has grown from a freckle into life-threatening melanoma spreading throughout our national social and economic fiber, threatening what little freedom We the People have left. To demonstrate just how upside down things are, Democrat John Kennedy’s closing remarks of his Inaugural Address, January 20, 1961, were:

And so my fellow citizens, ask not what your country can do for you—ask what you can do for your country.

The Socialist/Marxist Democrat motto today is:

Ask not what you can do for your country—ask what your country can do for you.

How did we get ourselves into this mess? There is enough blame to go around. Capitalism was and is the only economic engine capable of building national wealth, but it ran amuck and abused workers, and so unions were formed. Unions began life as the friend of labor, but they too ran aground of their principles as union leaders abused and misused power, using intimidation and violence to force union agendas on not only their members but on members’ employers. Corruption inevitably followed union leaders’ absolute power as highly compensated union brass employed whatever tactics kept them in power as they sought to maintain their status as the upper 1 percent they hypocritically demonize. Even though union members now comprise only 9 percent of the private workforce, the disproportionate power afforded union bosses who control their members’ dues still allows intimidation of Congress and the president and control of candidates running for office through the use of union dues and influence to sway elections, all while unions in general are now coming very close to outliving their usefulness. Books have been written on the subject of government unionization, so the only comment made here is they are, even by Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s definition, a complete and total conflict of interest and never should have been allowed.

    Complacency and Freedom Don’t Mix

After the Allied victory signaled the end of World War II, the nation experienced great relief. Industry boomed, and the nation was consumed with promoting economic prosperity. After World War II we grew fat, dumb, happy, and very complacent. In his final address to the nation, outgoing President Eisenhower warned us about the threat of an all-powerful military industrial complex, and we didn’t listen. A young president was assassinated in Dallas, and we grieved but accepted the Warren Commission’s conclusions about the tragedy of November 22, 1963, because to do otherwise was just too difficult. Unbiased thought might lead a person to wonder whether this tragedy in Dallas was the real beginning of the end of freedom in this country.

When Newt Gingrich announced his candidacy for president, he made the media rounds talking about why he wanted to put himself through the rigors of a presidential campaign. His answer was very simple but also very profound, and stimulated many thoughts about exactly how we—you and I—let our elite political ruling class take root in Washington, D.C. Former Speaker Gingrich said we all have obligations and responsibilities as citizens of this great country. We all have an obligation to get actively involved, and we all bear responsibility when we don’t. That’s when bad stuff happens.

The stuff that has happened to us all over the last several decades is largely grounded in the simple fact that we have allowed members of Congress to establish roots in Washington, D.C. Entrenched, lifelong members of Congress may begin their political careers (there should be no such animal as a career politician) as servants of the people but eventually turn upside down from serving We the People to serving themselves. At some point not far into their political careers our servants become our masters. Add to that those members of Congress who never intended to serve but only be served through their ties to the lobbyists and special interest groups they spend time cultivating while in office, and big money stacks the next election deck before any campaigning ever begins. Money is power, unchecked power always leads to corruption, and unlimited funding always leads to unlimited corruption. The lack of a budget (let alone one that is balanced) since 2009 has become the unlimited government funding that has resulted in unlimited government corruption.

Think for a moment about the paradigm shift of power away from our elite political ruling class in Washington, D.C. back to We the People if our government simply had to live within its means, stop borrowing and printing money out of thin air, and account for every dollar it spends!

What unlimited government funding and lack of congressional term limits does is create career politicians—something never intended by our brilliant Founding Fathers. Creators of our Constitution envisioned a nation wherein no person should ever make politics a career. Jefferson, Adams, Franklin, Madison, and all of those directly responsible for the Revolution that resulted in the Declaration of Independence and our Constitution literally risked everything, including their lives, to form this perfect union wherein we could live free from Big Government tyranny. If they failed, they were facing King George’s gallows. They did not make their fortunes at the expense of the rest of the colonies. They were businesspeople, farmers, professionals, and lawyers who were in Philadelphia to serve, not be served.

Our Founding Fathers did not put limits on the length of time members of Congress could serve because the animal known as a career politician was unimaginable. They never thought members of Congress would actually leave their real homes and lives to become members of a surreal elite political ruling class in the new nation they defined though the Constitution they wrote and ratified. Our Founding Fathers never imagined the kind of elite political ruling class comprised of career politicians that has over two centuries grown into a monstrosity even worse than the British tyranny against which they rebelled in the first place. They didn’t contemplate the lobbying with dollars, corruption, abuse, and misuse of power we have today and didn’t guard against it because they didn’t see it coming.

It is a certainty that they also never anticipated $18 trillion in nation-destroying debt.

Over the past few decades, Congress has done everything it shouldn’t and nothing it should. The media calls members of Congress lawmakers, but what Congress should be doing is representing the will of the people, not writing millions of pages of job-killing, economy-stifling, pork-laden legislation. Congress should spend most of its time allocating resources within a balanced federal budget, but hasn’t even produced a budget—balanced or not—since 2009. Some blame for the complete dysfunction in Washington, D.C. can be placed on all presidents since Ronald Reagan, John Kennedy being the last effective Democrat.

There is simple, common sense action We the People must demand from our representatives and senators in Washington, D.C. that will guarantee our freedom and independence. Those in government who resist these simple, straightforward constitutional limits on our federal government are our enemies in this second civil war. Among the several pieces of legislation that need to be passed by Congress restoring constitutional federal government, there is just one immediate action We the People must demand from Congress, which will literally save our nation from economic ruin. That one piece of legislation is a balanced budget amendment with annual cap on spending, which must be passed by the House and Senate and ratified by the states.

The lengthy process to pass this necessary amendment to our constitution must begin immediately!

If We the People continue in our apathy and not demand a Balanced Budget Amendment with annual spending cap, there may not be a United States of America in which our children and grandchildren can live in freedom and peace. A proper, effective, simple balanced budget amendment to our Constitution must be written exactly as defined in chapter 7. The balanced budget amendment described in chapter 7 fits on one side of an 8 ½ x 11 sheet of paper. It must not be 3,000 pages long, filled with all manner of loopholes and exceptions that render it useless to do what it must—rein in uncontrolled government spending that enables the acquisition of unlimited power in the wrong hands, which always breeds unlimited corruption.

The several other assorted solutions presented in subsequent chapters are not new; they are simple, basic common sense that our complacency and lack of involvement have made mandatory right now, not tomorrow or ten years down the road.

The solutions to reversing our decades-long retreat from freedom into dependence that always results in bondage can only come through exposing the truth regardless of how painful that truth may be. The big difficulty becomes how We the People find the truth when the whole truth will not come from our media establishment or Congress.

The pen is mightier than the sword, and this second civil war cannot be waged, and will not be won with swords, but with letters to the editor of your newspaper, with e-mails to Congress, the White House, governors, state representatives, media, and media advertisers. Tell our big for profit media that you expect more than opinion and propaganda and if they continue to hide the truth we will cut off their source of revenue by boycotts of any and all advertisers. Most importantly, We the People can and must prevail in this second civil war by finding truth through communication among ourselves. In this second civil war We the People are fighting to regain control of our own government, which has been operating in a dark, clandestine, enigmatic mode for the past few decades. If We the People are ever to see the light of freedom again, we must have the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth from Congress, the White House, our Judiciary, even our media. Chapter 1 explains how our media has hidden the truth from us for decades. In the context of the giant hole they have dug for themselves, their credibility and perhaps survival mandates that they continue the cover-up of the Big Lies explained in chapters 2 through 4. Along with the truth, Congress must re-establish constitutional limits on itself and the Executive Branch so that the United States can back away from the abyss of totalitarianism.

We the People must stop the cancer that has been the quadruple growth in the size of federal government operating in spite of the people since the end of the Reagan presidency. The video How to Kill 11 Million People, based on the book by Andy Andrews, recounts the steps through which societies like ours in the United States travel:

    • from bondage to spiritual faith

    • from spiritual faith to courage

    • from courage to liberty

    • from liberty to abundance

    • from abundance to complacency

    • from complacency to apathy

    • from apathy to dependence

    • from dependence back into bondage

Make no mistake—debt is bondage! Andy Andrews appears to have drawn from the incredible intellect of philosophers and writers like Thomas Jefferson, Alexis de’ Tocqueville, and Dr. Alexander Tytler who knew centuries ago that there is a cycle though which democratic republics travel. It is frightening that the cycle from freedom back into bondage usually takes about 200 years! The tragic cycle from freedom back into bondage is always the result of a government that discovers it can bribe the people with the people’s money—in the words attributed to Dr. Tytler:

A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that point on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship.

It looks and feels like the United States of America has arrived at the point of total collapse on which certain elements of our elite political ruling class are counting. If We the People continue in our complacency and apathy we will all lose our freedom and independence as we continue to move from dependence into bondage. We have a very small window of opportunity to avoid becoming the United States of China—blowing this last-ditch opportunity to prevent the enslavement of our children and grandchildren is not an option!

If we don’t rise up right now, today, and actively take back control of our government that our complacency and apathy over the past sixty years have allowed to slip though our fingers, it will be too late. What is written here first describes why our media chooses to continue to aid and abet the cover-up of the Big Lies perpetrated by elements of our government against We the People that are the root cause of much of the destruction of our freedoms and liberties. Then there is very specific action We the People, both taxpayers and tax consumers, must take so that we may preserve our freedom and independence.

The action required by We the People prescribed herein is so simple and straightforward it seems ridiculous to devote a couple hundred pages to justify what I believe at least half us understand we must now do. The fact that all three branches of our federal government have become so politically divided and polarized causing complete governmental dysfunction and paralysis mandates that We the People must now begin to demand the obvious.

    My Message to You

What is said in the following pages is not what I want to be true; it is simply what growing numbers of We the People find to be true beyond any reasonable doubt. The simple solutions presented in later chapters that will end the reign of terror inflicted upon We the People by our elite political ruling class have nothing to do with partisan politics—they are intended to end partisan politics forever. Those members of Congress who are guaranteed to oppose simple, straightforward measures that return power to the people of these United States are the enemy in our second civil war. If anyone with an open mind can read what follows, especially in chapters 2 though 4, and not understand we have lost control of our own government, and it is time to take control back from career politicians, then there is nothing that can be said or done to keep our children and grandchildren safe and free.

In the final analysis, the largest obstacle to globalists who want to be members of an all powerful, completely corrupt, oppressive, totalitarian worldwide elite ruling class is a strong, free, independent United States of America. In other words, those who want to create the abomination that would be One World Government through their enigmatic New World Order have as their primary agenda the eradication of the United States as it has existed for the past 239 years. The daily, nearly infinite ways our beloved nation is being betrayed and attacked from within are explained throughout the next 8 chapters.

Because everything in this country has now degenerated into divisive, nation-killing partisan political theater, I suppose it is important to state up front that I am a registered Democrat who worked for the Obama campaign in 2008. I devoted my time and energy to candidate Obama for no other reason than I believed him when he so eloquently promised to change politics in Washington, D.C.

That is an effort I have come to regret.

Freedom and truth go hand-in-hand; one cannot exist without the other. Everything you read from here on is a journey to the truth. It is not my version of it, it is not what I want it to be, and much of it is very painful. Understandably, it is very difficult to accept the frightening enormity of the realization that at this point in time there is no truth, whole truth, and nothing but the truth coming from any mainstream media source. Members of Congress ignore or deny the difficult truths detailed in chapters 2 through 4, choosing instead to label as conspiracy theorists those of us who have the audacity of hope that comes with finding and exposing the truth. This being the case, there must be some dot connection wherein logic and common sense are employed to fill in gaps where the truth ends and biased spin, outright lies, and cover-ups begin. Motivating We the People to get our collective heads out of the sand is a huge first step toward finding the truth and setting ourselves free.

Explaining the history of government influence creeping into our mainstream media over the decades is the main purpose of this chapter. It is critical that we all understand the origin and nature of the propaganda machine our mainstream media has become so we can search for the truth from other sources not as readily available as simply relying on established media.

Everything in life that concerns freedom and liberty for human beings that our Constitution affirms as granted to us by our Creator must be founded in truth. Freedom cannot survive in a toxic atmosphere of half-truths and outright lies and deceit. Our judicial system understands justice cannot be achieved without truth. Every time a witness testifies in any trial in the United States, he or she must swear an oath to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help me God. So serious is this oath that to break it and lie while testifying in court is a felony called perjury, and individuals found guilty of that offense go to jail.

Wouldn’t it be something if members of Congress were placed under that same oath during their time in office, and if caught in a lie would be immediately recalled
