How to get the Scholarship of Your Dreams: The Step by Step Guide to Securing and Maximizing a Scholarship

About this ebook
Do you remember you first job? Those were the days, weren't they? Sweeping floors, mopping bathrooms, cleaning up that huge mess left by one of those supposedly wealthy families in your hometown (it makes you wonder that if they are so rich and sophisticated, how can they leave a table that is so messy a stray dog wouldn't touch it?). How much were you making? Minimum wage? Barely above?
Let's do an experiment. Go and ask your parents (you know, those old, boring people wearing clothes that were, like, so last decade, and that boss you around telling you not to stay out too late and wash behind your ears and take out the trash and mow the lawn and clean your room and .....) an honest question. And ask for an honest answer. How much does the average educated adult with a good paying job make an hour, by rough estimate? Got it? Good. You'll find that an individual with a decent paying job - say, $50,000 a year salary - working 40 hours a week makes around $24 an hour before paying the dreaded tax man.
Would you like to know an inside secret about how to make more than twice that per hour, and only do it part time?

Let's do an experiment. Go and ask your parents (you know, those old, boring people wearing clothes that were, like, so last decade, and that boss you around telling you not to stay out too late and wash behind your ears and take out the trash and mow the lawn and clean your room and .....) an honest question. You can earn about $50 an hour filling out scholarship applications
In other words, the amount of time you spend filling out scholarship application forms compared to the average amount of money you get back equates to around $50 an hour. Put another way, the average professional pulling $100K a year working 60 hours a week (higher paid professionals often work more for their money) is working for around $43 an hour and you will be pulling down more.
So with that said, you should be spending every spare moment of every evening (yes, even Friday nights if need be) filling out application after application for scholarships. The return for the work you put in is too great not to take advantage of. So, where to start looking for college cash?
First, let's make sure we're hunting for the same treasure. Let’s recap the funding sources discussed at the beginning of this book.
Student loans. With student loans, you are applying with some form of lender (a large company who is in the business of making money) who will loan you the
