This is the first book in a series about a little blue car called STAN and his magical adventures with his friends- TOPPER the scarecrow, CHARLIE the crow, and two children BECKY & TOMAS. This book also introduces the childrens grandfather JAMES who has lovingly rebuilt STAN and his long suffering wife Emily who live on a farm.
Part of the proceeds of this book will be donated to The Teenage Cancer Trust to help the charity with its important work.
STAN is based on a rare 1939 Standard Flying Eight Tourer maintained by the Author and driven regularly in and around the New Forest Hampshire.

Darrell Cunningham was born in Epsom Surrey 1947 He has always been interested in cars. Having learnt to drive aged 17 in his father's Austin A35 he went on to become one of the youngest ministry approved driving instructors at the time. Although his first car was a Renault Dauphine Gordini he also rebuilt several Classic Cars including a 1929 Morris Minor, Morris 8 Tourer Srs 1, and his last an MGA Twin Cam, before moving on to modern cars. After he retired early due to illness he acquired a BIG BOYS TOY! a 1939 Standard Flying Eight Tourer which he called STAN. From then on he has written a series of books. As well as being the Publicity Officer for the Standard Motor Club and the Organiser of the New Forest Group a local motor club, he is often seen driving the little blue standard around the New Forest Hampshire. He supports Charities by arranging for Topper the scarecrow Charlie crow & Stan to visit shows, schools,fetes etc.
