Songs for the Soul: A Lyrical Revolution

About this ebook
There is an ole saying, Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, that is a truth. Words are that very truth to me. SONGS for the SOUL, is a collection of lyrical compositions, designed to evoke thoughts and feelings. An open door to hidden realities, guarded and unseen. Where: Love, hate, anger and despair become: Father and mother, sister and brother. A family all part of one entity, which is life. This is not a soft journey but more of a casual walk to see who we are and who we may be. How one sees life is a universal event, where all living things are connected. A never-ending chain reaction to the demands of living. Intertwining a conglomeration of lives intermingling through active and passive circumstances, causing dependence on each other, the proverbial domino effect. SONGS for the SOUL is direct and confrontational. Only those who are willing to accept the challenge to understand will appreciate the intent. Mankind is at a crucial stage of development. The good, the bad and the ugly of life exist, it is alive and well but so are love, peace and understanding. This is our time to solve meaningless differences and together forge a future, where the common bond is: Giving rather then taking, loving above hating and right never takes second to wrong. This is our time to become a better human being and in doing so we will learn, understand and in due time become HUMANE. Mankinds final epitaph should not be of death and destruction but rather a testament to Love and Peace and a helping hand to all who are in need. Then and only then will the question Am I my brothers keeper? be long lost and forgotten.
Preacher
I am a sinner; like it, love it an want more of it and there is a comfort in knowing that. I'm not hot so I will accept cold. The old saying "To thine onself be true", is one I live by. What I have learned in doing so is that one will see the truth of who they are and I have realized that no one wants too. Here's a question. If one cannot look at the reality of who they are, then how can one change to be a better human being? I am cynical of Christians, and church go'ers. Not because of who or what they believe in but because their thirst for RATIONALIZATION is akin to insanity. FREE WILL allows no middle ground, which, RATIONALIZING one's wrong becomes the center to middle ground. If i'm not mistaken Jesus Christ said something about that. I think it was along the lines of "Be HOT or COLD". What's left inbetween is tepid and another word for tepid starts with an "R". I wonder how one can love their GOD, when they know nothing of HIM, only what they have been told to regurgitate. I find this to be self-serving righteousness with non-satiating indignation. I am a sinner, comfortable with the knowledge that I strive to be a better person, not quite there yet but the challenge of reaching that goal is becoming intoxicating. "For GOD so loved the world that HE gave HIS only begotten SON that whosoever believith in HIM shall not perish", and you still believe you have the right to ask for more when you give nothing in return. Remember fifty percent of being a good Christian is half of being a bad one and 99 and a half just won't do.
