    Allegra Jostad Silberstein grew up on a Wisconsin farm and then moved to California in 1963. Her love of poetry began as a child when her mother would recite poems as she worked. In addition to three chapbooks, Silberstein is widely published in journals and is the first Poet Laureate of Davis.

    Tim Bellows is a college writing teacher, poet, essayist and photographer devoted to wilderness, contemplative travels, and the sane and madcap ways of words. A graduate of the Iowa Writers' Workshop, he’s widely published. His poems appear in Desert Wood, an Anthology of Nevada Poets, Wild Stars (Starry Puddle Press), A Racing Up the Sky (Eclectic Press), and Sunlight from Another Day (Authorhouse Press). A recent poem about the gibbon appeared in Terrain Journal. Also, Ascent Aspirations Magazine will soon publish a poem about the creation of a bird.
