The New Edition: the Truth: A Way out of the Wilderness: Muslim Views During the Election of 2008
()
About this ebook
The New Edition: The Truth presents a well-researched look at the lives of Muslim Americans, before and after the tragedy of 9/11. Based on numerous surveys, author Wazhma Khalili has come to realize Muslim-Americans do feel greatly discriminated against since that dayespecially throughout the 2008 presidential election. On Election Day, many Muslim Americans felt hostility from their neighbors when they attempted to vote in person.
Despite this hostility, though, voting continued, as many Muslim Americans believe that Barack Obama will be the first president to address the issue of race and work toward national equality. At its simplest, The New Edition: The Truth is about overcoming hate in a modern world often overwrought with anger and racial profiling.
Wazhma Khalili
Wazhma Khalili, the daughter of a career diplomat, was born in Kabul, Afghanistan. Currently a graduate student at Strayer University, she will be receiving her master’s degree in 2011. This is her third book.

Foreword
