Choosing Peace - Russell R. Taylor

    Dedication

This book is dedicated to one of my best friends and brother Alonzo Taylor. I’ve heard it said There’s no love greater than a brother that would give his life for his brother. That’s what my brother gave for me. There is no way I can re-pay such a debt, however I can honor his sacrifice, honor his commitment of protecting his family, honor his love. So I dedicate these words, thanking him for giving me this opportunity until we meet again.

"You will keep him in perfect peace,

Whose mind is stayed on Thee"

    Isaiah 26:3

"If you faint in the day of adversity

    Your strength is small"

    Proverbs 24:10

    Foreword

Russell, it is indeed an honor, a privilege, and definitely my pleasure to write the foreword to this endeavor, which is truly a blessing from God.

Solomon said in Proverbs 25:2 that, It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, But the glory of kings to search out a matter. David, who was the father of Solomon, and who was described in I Samuel 13:14, as ‘a man after The Lord’s own Heart,’ said, Who is the man who desires life, and loves many days, that he may see good? Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking guile. Depart from evil, and do good.; Seek peace, and pursue it – Psalm 34:12-14.

Mr. Russell Rahmell Taylor, as a child of the King and a king in your own right, you have followed both the advice of David, and the Wisdom of Solomon. You have moved in the admonition of the Lord and listened to both the king, and the son of a king.

Over the years, I have had the spiritual opportunity to reflectively observe you as you continued to seek out your personal relationship with God; and I have had the opportunity to observe you as you have sought and pursued peace in every area of your life. As a man strives to walk with God in every arena of his life, it is expected that there will be trials, temptations, and adversity in paths way. But I have also observed that in His strength, by His grace, and by His mercy, you have travailed against, and overcome all that has attempted to triumph against you.

Simultaneously, I have had the privilege of observing the Lord at work. I have observed Him as He entered into all of the dry places within your life, and replaced them with bountiful growth. What a blessing for me to watch our Father bestow peace upon you and watch you in turn share your God given wisdom with those who seek peace!

Russell, you are truly a man of God, blessed beyond measure and a man
