Genevieve Lilith Vesta
Genevieve Lilith Vesta is a self-published author of the horror/occult, with a bit of fantasy, thriller, and mystery thrown into the mix. She was born and raised in Michigan but always dreamt of living in the South. Genevieve began her yearning for the written word thirty-nine years ago at the tender age of ten; she wrote mainly poetry and children’s stories in the beginning. As a child, Genevieve was plagued with reoccurring nightmares; so at twelve years old, after reading Pet Sematary from Stephen King, she began to reach deep into the darkness of her own mind and discovered the art of horror within herself and began to write stories about the nightmares that were buried deep inside her. In her teenage years, she became interested in witches and through research, the occult. Soon the love of her true genre was formed, the horror/occult. Genevieve’s first book though was a children’s fantasy called, Jessika and the Magic Staff, which was based on her daughter. At the age of thirty-seven, Genevieve’s dream of living in the South became a reality when she moved to Virginia with her husband and their three children. There she finally completed her second book, which is in her true genre of occult/horror called, Witches of Venus: Hell’s Grim Tyrant, and was the first book of four in the Witches of Venus series. Through the years, Genevieve tested her talents with different genres like romance, thriller, adventure, mystery and another children’s book; she also always stayed true to her heart and first calling, the love of the occult/horror genre. In the present, Genevieve is forty-nine years old and working on her new book, a science fiction mystery called, Mysterious Summer. She also is currently in the process of republishing her twelve books that have been self-published previously, with the help from an editor and a manager she did not have before.

Chapter One
BEACH DAY FOR SAM
THERE ONCE WAS A LITTLE boy about six years old named Sam who lived with his mother, father and his four-year-old sister, Erika. His favorite show to watch was Scooby Doo; Sam would watch his videos every day, he wanted to solve mysteries too when he grew up.
One day Sam and his family spent a day at the beach. His tanned body began to turn red the longer he stayed there and the freckles on his face seemed to turn darker.
Sam sat in the lake; in his hand he held a cookie. He stood up after his cookie was gone. His swimming trunks stuck to him and the child’s short, light brown hair clung to his head as he walked over to a group of boys and sat down with them, when they jumped up and ran into the water.
One of the boys hollered back at him, Sam!
Sam turned to the boy speaking.
Let’s play sword fighting,
the other boy said.
They picked up two sticks and started dueling in the water. When the two boys tired of pretend swords, Sam walked back onto the beach alone. He looked over to where
Erika was, she was sitting in the sand near the water playing with her pail and shovel. Sam picked up his sieve and walked toward a lounge chair that sat in the water. He put the sieve in the water, drew it out and let the water sift onto the lounge chair.
Sam had done this a few times when a boy walked up and threw a handful of mud at Sam, hitting him in the arm; he quickly jumped up and ran after the boy. Sam soon became tired of chasing him around; the boy was faster. Sam yelled after the boy, Jerk!
He sat back down in the water next to the lounge chair. This time he began to scoop up mud in his hands and dropped it onto the chair.
After covering the bottom half of the lounge chair with the mud, he stood up again. Sam began to walk with his hands behind his back, pacing back and forth on the beach; he was thinking of something else to do. Sam looked over at his sister, she was talking to their mom.
Sam kicked at the sand that surrounded him; an idea must have come to mind because he sat down again near the water’s edge. Sam splashed more water onto the sand where he was, turning the dirt into mud. He used his hands and began to build a wall of wet sand.
An adult walked by, not really paying attention where she was walking and stepped on his wall, smashing it down. Sam stood up, staring after the adult. His hand became a fist, Sam squinted and snarled at the person. Then he smiled to himself, sat back down and started to rebuild his wall again.
After Sam made his wall again, he got up and walked over to his mother. "Can I get a drink?
Erika spoke up also, I thirsty too.
Their mother smiled and handed him some money. Sam and Erika ran excitedly to the refreshment
