The Great Royal Tree of Africa - Goodwill Siboniso Mkhwanazi

    The great tree

    The royal tree of Africa,

The tree came with honour and salute,

It bends not by lack of confidence,

    But by humbleness and obedience.

The tree came with integrity and wisdom,

It grew tall and with stature,

The tree bears fruits even in drought,

The tree implanted in the centre of the world.

It implanted in the island with disgrace,

But grew with pride and honour,

It is displaced from the soil,

But centred in the hearts and minds of the nations.

It was shuttered but made aloud,

    It manifested the great humankind,

The great and deep root of the true trees,

The tree that gave shadow and peace to the whole land.

The tree which is the voice of the mute,

The legs of the lame, the eyes of the blind,

    And strength of the weak.

    The wisdom of the land,

    Security of all hope,

    The foundation of democracy.

The mind, eyes, ears, hands and legs of the poor,

The head of the wise and intellectual,

    The colour of all nations.

    The hope of the oppressed,

    The strength of the deprived,

    The power of the disadvantaged,

    The solution of the exploited.

    The symbol of the nations,

The true colour of all nations,

The original uniform of all schools of governing,

The genuine structure of the head.

Composed by Goodwill Siboniso Mkhwanazi, 11 December 2013

    2. Faith

It is the ability to live above affordability

But live within the ability of the Word of God,

It is the power to hold the unseen world

In the circumstanced and conditioned land,

The force of unlocking the pictures

Of the unreal world in the real world.

It is an eye to perceive the light in the darkness

And it is the spiritual force to dwell in the impossibilities,

The key to unlock the doors of limitations,

It is an instrument of drilling the hole in the rock.

It is the power to enjoy the victory in the area of defeat

It is the strength of speaking the contrary,

It is the energy driving the mind to see the unseen

It is the weapon to destroy the existence for the inexistence,

It is the foot to travel to the unseen with the seen.

It is the world of assurance of the existence in the inexistence

Faith is the title deed of the unseen property,

The ability to dwell in the unreal world

It is the truth of the lies,

It is the fruit of the unseen and real of the unreal.

Faith is the substance of what we hope for

And the confirmation of what we do not see,

It is the ability to see beyond the present situation

It is the production of the hearing and reading,

And it is the deposit of great wealth.

Composed by Goodwill Siboniso Mkhwanazi, 31 November 2013

    3. Dead minds

    Oh dead minds and honour

    Shaming the alives

    And humiliating the living

Saluting the dead whom were shamed when alive.

Honouring and pay tribute unto the dead

But ignoring them when they existed

Praisers and worshippers of the dead

But disgracing them when they were alive.

    Disrespect of the alives

    And mockers of the living

Obeying of the dead and ignoring the living

    The dead minds and hearts

Bow to the living and salute the alive

Worship the alive and honour your living.

Composed by Goodwill Siboniso Mkhwanazi, 12 September 2013

    4. The ladder

    Never ever never

    Never ever take it down

    Never let its holders depart

    Never trust it without them.

Never allow others to take it away

The way up is the way down

Three of its stakeholders are permanent

    Never chase the ladder away.

    The puller of the climbers

And the holder of the weak

    The lifter of the short

And the assurance of the cowards.

Composed by Goodwill Siboniso Mkhwanazi, 30 March 2013

    5. Makers of Destiny

The way they make is the way they destroy

    Making is their target

    And destroying is their business

    The makers of destiny.

    Mountains and fountains of news

    The factory of secrets

    And industries of information

    The creators of destiny.

    The broadcasters of joy

    And printers of sadness

Hunters of the stories and preachers of the hidings

    The eyes
