    Chapter 1 - The Link between Attitude and Success

    A popular American preacher, T.D. Jakes in one of his programmes preached a sermon titled NOTHING JUST HAPPENS. There is no smoke without a fire. We have the right to succeed and the right to fail and we are very much free to exercise any of the rights. Life is like a local village dance; the tempo of our dance and the passion with which we dance is totally dependent on the beating and the rhythm of the gong. After a deep thought on the question: What are the essential requirements for career excellence? I modeled the lives of successful people I have come across with, and I discovered that there is this unique trait in them. These unique traits can be found in the following poetic lines:

    Every successful career was an adventure –- Someone dared it.

    Every successful career was an opportunity –- Someone took it.

    Every successful career was a game –- Someone played it.

    Every successful career was a gift –- Someone received it.

    Every successful career was a talent –- Someone showcased it.

    Every successful career was a task –- Someone finished it.

    Every successful career was a battle –- Someone overcame
