Jon Dalton is the pen name for writer Warren Richardson. He lives in Florida with his wife Lesli Richardson (who is also an author best-known as Tymber Dalton), several pushy cats, a dog, a tortoise, and two birds who attempt to kill him on a regular basis. There are plans for several more books in the Wolf Mallory series. He also writes sweet romances as Haley Jordan.

We had some bad news this morning in the group,
said Vinnie.
What’s that?
I asked, taking a sip of my sweetened ice tea. It was a late Tuesday afternoon in November, and we were at Kicks, our favorite beach-front restaurant on Calusa Key, for an early dinner. Vicky, my girlfriend of just over three months now, was still in Ohio where she’d gone to spend Thanksgiving with her folks. She was flying back to Tampa tomorrow.
One of our members was murdered about a month ago, after our last meeting. Counselor told us about it first thing today before we started. He said he’d heard about it on the news.
