Pilentum Television: Model Railroad and Model Railway - Filmography
By Markus Lenz
()
About this ebook
The project “Pilentum Television” was born many years ago in Germany, when the founder and author Markus Lenz was trying to make photos and videos of miniature cars in macro photography mode. Because the toy cars did not move, Markus looked for other objects to film. Finally, he found model trains.
It is something like a challenge to make videos in macro photography mode about the wonderful world of toy trains in motion. And over time, a preference had arisen to visit model railway exhibitions for making worth seeing and entertaining documentary videos. The name “Pilentum” was chosen because the word comes from the Latin language and it means something like “wagon” or “coach”.
Today, Pilentum Television is one of the leading video networks for toy trains, model trains, model railroading and railway modelling. Pilentum would like to present the largest model railroad layouts and the finest model railway displays on YouTube and on Dailymotion. Furthermore, Pilentum wants to make a contribution that this wonderful toy will not be forgotten - despite many alternatives like video games, computers, etc. Model trains are still one of the most popular toys. Model railroading is educationally valuable. Railway modelling promotes the creativity of children. Finally, it is a great hobby for adults.
