Jenny had always possessed a wild streak. We first met when I was just out of college, and she was a sophomore. I had just started at my accounting firm, and was putting in the long hours expected of junior accountant. The first few months we dated, things were great. I was head over heels for the 21 year old brunette. Her petite 5’2" frame, small perk breasts, beaming smile, and should-length brown hair gave her the appearance of an innocent girl; the kind of girl you can take home to mom. She would always text me at work how she missed me, and I was totally smitten with her every time she would drive down to the city to see me on the weekends. Being with her felt like a story book romance. I thought I was the luckiest guy in the world.

I knew she liked to party. I would occasionally get drunk texts from her, mostly cryptic and incoherent. On her social media page, she was frequently tagged in photos of her at clubs. Usually with her friends. Girls and guys. I had liked to drink and party when I had first turned 21 too, so I never faulted her. I mean, that’s the price of dating a younger girl, right?

Anyway, I proposed the day she graduated college. Jenny was giddy, her beaming smile told me I had made the right call, even if all my friends and family seemed less than enthusiastic. I understood it was young for her, and that they wanted to see Jenny live out in the real world on her own, but I loved her, and nothing would keep us apart.

She moved to the city, but never really stopped her hard partying ways. The first few weekends I went out to the clubs with her, but it was too weird. I stood by the bar while she scampered out to the dance floor. I was never much of a dancer. I’m an accountant after all. Jenny meanwhile, clad in tank top and her tightest jeans wiggled her little ass all over the dance floor. She loved to grind on all sorts of guys, but she seemed to spend the longest on muscular black men. I’m just dancing with them! she would always whine, I’m coming home to you!

She was right, after all, I wasn’t out there dancing, and she loved to do it. It would be unfair of me to forbid her from dancing just because of my jealousy. Still, after that night, I stopped going with her to clubs. I didn’t know how I felt about my fiancé grinding on strangers, but I certainly didn’t have to watch it happen. Sometimes she came back very late, close to 4 or 5 in the morning. Most clubs close at 2, but she claimed she had to make sure her friends got home, or that she crashed at a friend’s house. I’m a modern guy, I trust my fiancé. I’m not some maniac control freak who needs to keep tabs on her night and day. She had never given me a reason not to believe her.
