Memoirs of a Re-Incarnate - Lovinna Nnennaya Ugbonta

    WORK

    INTRODUCTION

I write this book, eminently aware that RE-INCARNATION is a sensitive issue in Christianity. The controversy is such that, in some circles, a proponent of reincarnation could be labelled an apostate. Churches delve more into the preaching of resurrection than re-incarnation. Question then is, should this issue be avoided? Why?

Arguments are usually double sided. Even the bible admonishes us to prove all things. Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 2 vs 5:

    "Study to shew thy self-approved

    unto God, a workman that

    needeth not be ashamed, rightly

    dividing the word of truth".

A clearer understanding is achieved when we approach issues with open mind, determined to see and acknowledge the truth as presented. Hence, it behoves us, either as adherents or interested parties, to read our holy books to enable us find cogent reasons to believe and also discuss topics that are research-able.

The early Christians did not swallow teachings hook, line and sinker. They always reviewed the message and teachings they received through their habits of going back to the scriptures to ensure that what they were taught, tallied with what was written. ACTS 17 VS 11

"These were more noble than those in

Thesselonica, in that they received the

word with all readiness of mind and

    searched the scriptures daily"

Our faith can only be enhanced through reading the holy books and constant prayers. However, we should understand the holy books are not ordinary literature books. The mindset with which we open the books, would determine the impact it makes on our minds and lives. Without the grace of God which ensures the presence of the Holy Spirit, one can read the entire bible from cover to cover and still be unable to understand the message. With the aid of the Holy Spirit, you discover that every day you read the bible launches you further and further into hidden truths. All we need to do is to ask for spiritual guidance as we determine to study the word of God. Come, let us reason together. Psalm 119 vs 18 says:

"Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold

wondrous things out of thy law"

Also, verse 130 of Psalm 119:

"The entrance of thy words giveth light,

it giveth understanding unto the simple".

Whilst not being unmindful of Paul's submission in Hebrews 9 vs 27:

"And as it is appointed unto man once to die,

    after this judgement".

But the master himself (Jesus), did also reveal the truth about re-incarnation when he confirmed in Matthew 17 vs 10-13:

"And his disciples asked him saying, why

then say the scribes that Elias must first

    come?

    11. And Jesus answered and said unto them,

Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things.

    12. But I say unto you, that Elias is come already,

and they knew him not, but have done unto

him whatsoever they listed. Likewise also

shall the son of man suffer of them.

    13. Then the disciples understood that he

spake unto them of John the baptist".

Did you know that Herod the Tetrarch in Matthew 14 vs 1-8, had thought that Jesus Christ was a re-incarnated John the baptist? Let us reason together. Read also the account of the messenger of God himself (Angel Gabriel) who foretold the birth of John the Baptist, when he appeared to Zacharias. Luke chapter 1 vs 17:

"And he shall go before him in the spirit

and power of Elias, to turn the heart

of the fathers to the children, and

the disobedient to the wisdomof the

just; to make readythe people prepared

    for the lord".

I pray for the grace to be imparted unto you, to discover the hidden truths about man's sojourn on earth.

    CHAPTER 1

Born to Mr and Mrs Daniel Onwumere of Amangwu Village in Arochukwu kingdom - Abia state, Nigeria, my name is Lovina Nnennaya Ugbonta - (nee Onwumere).

I am the first of five children from my mother, Eunice Onwumere. For the purpose of clarity and easy flow of this book, permit me to mention that my mother delivered all five of us through natural birth, devoid of any complication or defect(s) at birth (glory to God).

The transition of human beings leaves relations smarting for very long. In some cultures, people have chosen ways of recreating or re-inviting the spirits of
