Patrice Shavone Brown
Hello, my name is Patrice Shavone Brown and helping people is at the heart of everything that I do. I have spent the last two decades serving my community as a Mental Health Counselor. I have also authored three books. Needless to say, I find nothing more rewarding than empowering others and assisting in people’s healing through the power of words.I embarked upon my journey at the age of 18. Pursuing a degree in registered nursing didn’t wind up working out initially, so I opted for Human Services Technology two years later. Inspired by poets, teachers, my mother, grandmother and aunts along the way, I discovered my true purpose in this life: to make the world a better place as a Mental Health Counselor and Writer. My vision with my brands is to give a voice to the ones who may feel voiceless and raise awareness to the inherent beauty within us and all around us. Moreover, I consistently strive to be a catalyst for others who encourages them to fully believe in themselves, all while teaching them valuable life lessons.Currently, I hold an MA, BA, and AAS. I’m also an Anger Management Specialist and Creative Writing Expert.During my freetime, I enjoy singing and watching movies. I’m also an avid music lover whose sights are set on being on TV someday.

DEDICATION
I would like to dedicate this to my maternal grandfather and paternal grandmother. These two people encouraged and motivated me to be a successful businesswoman. I had my grandpa by my side at all times. In school, Papa always pulled me out of trouble. When I was in college, I was a fighter and, some would say, a troubled talkative young lady. I dedicate my writing skills to John Bud
Harris for telling me always to get my lessons done. He always said, if you do bad, make sure you get your work done
. I still keep this in the back of my mind. He pushed me to have a plan for my life after school. I lost him 9/28/2003 and it took over ten years to beat the heartbreak. Now, my grandma, she was business- oriented and had so many dreams that she did not follow. Although, as she passed away suffering from cancer, she expressed she lived a good life. She still did not start some businesses that were a natural talent. You know the Lord chooses exceptional people to work for Him, and she was one. Then the torch of being a helper or angel was passed down to me. That's right: I am a counselor, a helper of the Lord and the people. I am here to provide restoration services to the world. I have to complete this mission in my life. My grandma Irene Brown-Warren died 12/01/2015. I dedicate this book and all future books to my grandparents as well as my parents. My life has had unconditional love and support from my mother; she always has given me an extra boost in everything. My father, on the other hand, has been the motivator that has still got me to thinking outside my environment and dreaming more. I appreciate my family and I thank the Lord for my life and blessings sincerely. Dedicated to Calvin Fuller, my best friend, my voice of reason and an ear in my time of need. Calvin was a big brother that cared so much for people and his family; he pushed me to be excellent. Gone but never forgotten, he died on 5/04/2017.

About The Author
Foreword
I am Saniece Thomas, the sister of Patrice. I have reviewed papers and watched her put together this book for about two months now. Let me tell you I am surprised that my sister has found the strength to finish this book about her life. I say this because she has another chapter to add as my mom is struggling right now with cancer, and she has become paralyzed. We have had to step-in and take care of her. It has been a battle for her as well as for me. Our life has changed before our eyes, but my sister still found the strength to write this book about her mission throughout life. You will hear nothing but the truth about her story as a counselor, professional, mother, sister, daughter, an angel of the Lord. I love my sister; please enjoy this book. It is her truth.
