About this ebook

The series "Crystal" starts from the beginning of the creation of the universe and permeates the entire human culture. It then reaches the present and will continue into the future, briefly following the evolution of human civilization.
In the first book 'First Battle of the Titans: Vacuum-Otherworldly conflict"(13.85 to 5 billion years ago) we witnessed the beginning of the fictional series "Crystal", which started in a Greek provincial town. In this town an object with transcendent abilities was discovered. Studies on this object have shown great results and with this very object a cosmic journey began. In this cosmic journey we traveled back in time and witnessed the creation of the universe.
In the second book "Second Battle of the Titans: Worldly-Supernatural conflict" (5 billion to 50 million years ago) we watched through the cosmic journey of Titanic forces contributing to the creation of our galaxy, our solar system, the creation and manufacturing of planet Earth, the emer-gence of life on Earth and its evolutionary path. Additionally, we also watched the clash of the Ti-tans' forces led by Saturn with otherworldly forces under the command of Heaven.
In the third and fourth book, "Third battle of the Titans: Supernatural-Natural" Conflict (50 million years to 100,000 years ago) the Olympian gods dominate, led by Zeus. The evolution of life occurring on planet Earth, the dominance of mammals and human phylogenetic branch are present-ed in the form of epic duels and fights. The evolution of man arrives until Homo sapiens. Particular emphasis is given to the "human" and the evolutionary steps of humanization, from the primates to hominids (Hominoidea), then to the Australopithecines and then onto the "Homo".
Continuing this magical journey through myth, metaphors, real events and real scientific knowledge, in the next books the reader will explore the universal culture from the creation of the universe until today.

    3rd Battle of the Titans:

    Clash between Supernatural

    and the Natural I

    (Homo sapiens)

1ST PERIOD: THE SUPERNATURAL POWERS REACT

    Introduction

The Crystals series starts at the very beginnings of the creation of the universe and transcends all human civilization, comes to the present and continues into the future, summarily following the evolution of human civilization.

In the first book 1st Battle of the Titans: Clash between the Vacuum and the Hypercosmic (13.85 to 5 billion years ago) we followed the beginning of the Crystals series which began in a Greek country town, where an object with transcendental capacities was discovered, whose study revealed truly astonishing results, and by whose help, the cosmic journey commenced. By means of that cosmic journey, we were able to travel back in time and observe the creation of the universe.

In the second book 2nd battle of the Titans: Clash between the Hypercosmic and the Supernatural (5000 to 50 million years ago) we followed, again by means of the cosmic journey, the titanic powers contributing to the creation of our galaxy, solar system, the creation and structural makeup of the Earth, the creation of life on Earth and its evolution, while at the same time, we bore witness to the clash of the titanic powers led by Cronos against the hypercosmic powers led by Uranus.

In the third and fourth book 3rd and 4th Battle of the Titans: Clash between the Supernatural and the Natural (50 million to 100 thousand years ago) the Olympian gods dominate, led by Zeus. In the form of epic duels and fights, the evolution of life on planet earth will be presented, the domination of the mammals and the phylogenetic branch of man until Homo sapiens appears. Particular emphasis is given to man and the evolutionary stages of his humanization, from the primary mammals to Hominoidea and then to Australopithecines and from them to genus Homo.

Continuing this magical trip, through myth, allegory, real events and real scientific knowledge, the reader will follow the development of all human civilization, from the creation of the universe to the present.

The Scientific team of the White Crystal

    reminisce after 50 years

Summer of 2029. At the summer café Katoi, the owner of the café and well-advanced in age, the elderly Mr Nikos, is sitting in a corner and side-looking at his daughter preparing coffees, refreshments and drinks. In a while, a waiter picks up the full tray and heads for the three tables joined in a row, right by the creek, around which a large coterie of elderly people are sitting and talking. Mr Nico’s eyes follow the waiter as he hurries towards the large group, in his effort to serve them as efficiently as possible. A soft, sweet murmur of the flowing, clear water can be heard from the creek next to them. If one could cast his eyes on the cool, flowing water, he would surely feel like dipping his feet in to cool from the summer heat. Just by looking at it was enough for someone to feel its soothing coolness.

It was late afternoon, just the beginning of dusk, and Mr Nicos is watching that large group. He has known personally each and every one of them for many years now. Since 1979 in fact, when they first met at the winter café Anoi, whose owner was he, as well. That great group, comprised of scientists and educationists, met on a weekly basis in one of his cafes, either in the summer or the winter one. In café Katoi the rest of the tables were still empty since it was still quite early for the evening walks of the folks of Drama. Only that large coterie of those retired educationists were there and were discussing quietly, in an easygoing fashion. Fifty years have gone by since the White Crystal was discovered in Drama, the summer of 1979. All that group had been involved back then in the first attempt to study and research the White Crystal at the Drama Police headquarters. Back then, they were all young people in their thirties working in education, with black hair and full of creative flame. Today, they are retired pensioners with white hair, around 80, but full of wisdom and understanding. But the years that they lived through are not visibly evident on them, since, apparently, time had been kind to every one of those present today, since it had left them with no visible marks, those suggesting they are at the sunset of their lives in this three-dimensional space. They are sitting around the joined tables, just next to the cool river of the waters of St Barbara. Starting with the first, sitting right at the corner of the table next to the creek, Mr Nicos is watching the large group of friends, reminiscing on the fifty years that had gone by: Mr Michalis Papazoglou, Mr Dimitris Iliopoulos, Mr Thanasis Hadjipetrou and Mr Christos Samaras, Mrs Kiki Photiadou, Mrs Efi Yiagiozi, Mrs Katerina Yiagou, Mrs Anastasia Tegou, Mr Giannis Kasmeridis, Mr Tasos Salis, Mrs Iakovos Tseklides, Mr George Roubesos and Mr Grigoris Ifandidis.

All is quiet at this hour of day in the quiet, cool corner of the café, and only a remote, forgotten chirping of some bird could be heard, soft and sweet, as if calling its partner to return to the safety of their nest. Peace of mind and serene quiet reigns across the first scientific team who studied the White Crystal. Silence! The only sound to be heard was the gentle murmur of the water. As if woken up from his slumber, the soft, slow voice of Dr Messis is heard:

‘As if it were yesterday, my dear friends, I remember and reminisce about the efforts were all put forth to understand the White Crystal. I believe that it has affected the personal course in the life of each and every one of us. It has affected us all, more or less, it has impacted on every one of us, making all of us better persons. And now, after fifty years, we are all gathered here again, something we used to do almost on a weekly basis, to talk about beautiful things. I don’t believe that we could have made it without the influence of the White Crystal we have all been exposed to. I believe that we owe our long life, our health and in general, our quality life, to the effect of the White Crystal’.

Everyone agreed to that thought, which Samaras picked up and continued:

‘I remember, back in 1999, when we went down to Athens as a technical support team for the 2nd Acropolis Experiment. We were all young and full of creative flame. Dimitris was always sweaty and red in the face, running here and there to give directions. What zest and dreams used to drive us forth, then! What did we achieve, I wonder? Could we have done more?’ C. Samaras was the youngest of the group. An intelligent young man – back then – with a strong creative flame, with ongoing thoughts and efforts, and despite the fact that he was coming from a technocratic educational tradition which would many times mislead him into technocratic side roads, but who nevertheless possessed a rare curiosity, perception and intellectuality that many times would surprise even the most philosophizing of the group. He was the pride of the group, dear to all for his cooperation, creativity and diligence. On matters of technology and innovation, he was always a step ahead.

Agreeing with him, Mrs Photiadou continued:

‘I remember with affection the two young couples we met. Both were lovable. I am referring to Adonis and Anna as well as Orpheas and Eurydice. They played a very important role, as if the White Crystal always needed to be near a young couple in love". Mr Hatzipetrou continued with a comment that surprised the group:

‘Of course, there was another person in love back then who never dared admit to his love. It was I!’ He stopped for a while, and seeing the wonder and anticipation on the faces of those present, he continues: ‘Yes! I was in love with Mrs Photiadou’. Photiadou jumped in her chair: ‘I knew nothing of this! I didn’t get a thing’ Hadjipetrou immediately answers back: ‘Of course you knew nothing, Kiki, since I never told you anything. On the other hand, it seems that I am justified that I never told you, because since you have missed the whole thing, it can only mean that you never felt anything particular for me’. But Photiadou came back at him fast: ‘I can’t remember what exactly I was feeling back then, but you ought to have told me. I believe that love should always be expressed, no matter which form it takes, even if the other party isn’t available’. ‘Perhaps!’ Hadjipetrou murmurs, while it’s Samaras’ turn to speak. ‘I agree with Kiki, or somehow, anyway’. Then Dr Messis continues: ‘I remember myself having anachronistic and weird ideas about love, until the first young couple of the White Crystal, my students, Anna and Adonis, upturned them all for me. Perhaps it was the effect of the White Crystal! Who knows?’ As she sees Ifandidis half-smiling, Photiadou asks him why. Then Ifandidis answers, smiling: ‘I also had a crash on Mrs Photiadou’. At the same time, Yagiosi looks as if she remembered something and mentions it: ‘Now that I hear you talking about it, I remember that on the train on our way to Athens as a technical support team, Thanasis was always next to Kiki. I remember it because I asked Katerina whether she knew if they were together. After that, we all got back to our own obligations, and as a result, everything was forgotten’.

Following on Yagiosi’s thought, Yiagou continues: ‘I also remembered that incident as well. We observed the same thing at the outskirts of Acropolis that we had our lodgings as members of the technical support team. When Kiki would be assigned a task, Thanasis would also volunteer to take part in it, as well. So, when Kiki asked to take part in the cosmic journey, Thanasis also expressed his interest to do so as well’. For the while this exchange held, Mr Hadjipetrou had his head bent, like a shy little student, thinking all that time that, at the end of the day, he was wrong to withhold his feelings. It was then that Mrs Photiadou remembered something as well: ‘Now I remembered something as well! Just before the commencement of the cosmic journey, right at the moment the rainbow was transforming into a wormhole in spatiotemporal continuum, Hadjipetrou held my hand, transmitting all the feelings he harbored about me. And I felt so beautiful! But the next moment we had all become one as a unified spatiotemporal entity, so I had lost track of what was true and what I believed I was perceiving as true. Next moment, we were watching the creation of the universe’.

Listening to the reference to the cosmic journey, Papazoglou affectionately remembered his participation in it: ‘Yes, I also participated in the cosmic journey. What beautiful empathetic experience! What absolute proprioception? We all felt we were experiencing a common kinesthesia, like a unified entity! I remember the appearance of the bridge and tekmor from the beginning of the cosmic journey and right afterwards the first manifestation of something familiar to us, the vacuum followed by the first manifestation of place. Then we all empathetically experienced the Inflation Field, the Zero Point Field, the Positive and Negative Force, the 4 fundamental interactions, the elemental particles, the manifestation of mass, eros, the partition of the unified force, the partition of the 12 titanic powers. The quark then appeared, followed by the leptons, hadrons, nucleation, the first atom nuclei and the first chemical elements. Then we observed the birth of the first stars and their magnificent deaths in gigantic supernova explosions. Following the death of the first stars, we observed in great admiration the creation of the galaxies, the 2nd generation stars and the continuing expansion of our universe, until the creation of our galaxy, about 13.5 billion years ago. Then came our home, our solar system and our beloved earth. I remember all that as if they were yesterday. And yet, 50 years passed, my beloved friends and fellow travelers in the greatest part of my life. How can I possibly thank you for coexisting with me and show you how important you are to me?’ Suddenly, just as he had started he stopped, remaining silent with a vacant look in his tearful eyes.

Moved by Papazoglou’s words, Yagiozi and Photiadou are sobbing. And while her tears are still flowing, Photiadou continues in a trembling voice: ‘I remember with much affection that young couple, Orpheas and Eurydice who participated in every attempt to study the White Crystal in a way, but I mainly remember them from their commitment in describing the cosmic journey. I feel that their description was so vivid, so that we all felt that we had taken that ‘tour’ twice. Of course, Mr Theodosis and Mr Manezis had contributed a lot to that, but the main burden was shared by those two children. In fact, when they described the creation of our galaxy, solar system, and particularly of our planet, their voice had acquired another hue, full of feeling and affection. Particularly the time when they were describing the way and he process the seed of the Titans was falling onto the fiery surface of the Earth, it was right there and then that I thought that I would open my eyes and see the outer space meteorites carrying the titanic seed fall’.

Agreeing with Photiadou and continuing, Yiagiosi says the following: ‘That’s how I also perceived and remembered them, but I believe that the apex of their emotional involvement in their narrative came right when they were describing the process of creation of the first prokaryotic cell, about 3.5 billion years ago, and the creation of the first eukaryotic cell, about 2.1 billion years. And how could it not be? If one thinks about it, we were suddenly ‘seeing’ our remote ancestors, genes of which we all share in us. In an emotionally charged climate, they were narrating to us the continuation of life in cyanoalgae, phaeophyceae and rhodophyceae which we were witnessing creating the oxygen, enriching the sea and the terrestrial atmosphere with that precious element of life. At the same time, we were witnessing the tectonic plates of the earth turn the planet into a living organism with a unified inner-conscientious self-observeness that the Ancient Greeks had very aptly named Gaia. Thus, the current oceans and continents were formed, taking their current form about¹ 20 million years ago’.

Yiagiosi stopped for a moment to catch her breath, wiping a tear off her cheek at the same time, and so, Photiadou got the chance to speak, while the rest of the group was watching carefully, re-living the cosmic trip for the third time: ‘And as we were watching the long course of life for 1.5 billion years, suddenly, about 542 million years ago, we witnessed an explosion of life in the Cambrian period, inaugurating at the same time the Phanerozoic Megaeon that is still unfolding today as we speak. After that particular point, we observe life evolving exponentially, colonizing every point on Earth, even the most inhospitable, like those with very low or very high temperatures. That was the miracle of life! Joyous and pursuant to observing the natural laws. What beauty and peace! But there is not only creation in life; there are other sides to it. Catastrophes! Besides, catastrophe is part of life. So, about 542 to 65 million years ago, we lived again through the five great catastrophes disrupting life, caused by the hypercosmic, supernatural and the titanic forces. They were massive disasters that caused five mass destructions in life respectively, and being responsible for about 50% to 90% of species on earth going extinct. But life would go on, anyway. It would always recover after every disaster. Thus, the last major mass destruction that caused the mass extinction of 60% to 75% of species, contributed to the end of the domination of the dinosaurs, a fact that on the other hand permitted the expansion of the mammals and their own development, until about 50 million years ago, the order of the primates appears to which we belong as well’.

Iliopoulos observes that unintentionally, his colleagues narrated summarily the whole cosmic journey, from the beginnings of the universe up until the most recent, the 5th mass destruction of life on Earth. So, he closes that dialogue with a few concluding words: ‘In that period, that is, between 542-50 million years ago, I remember Orpheas and Eurydice, who had described the cosmic journey, the 2nd Battle of the Titans, in which we watched the clash between the Hypercosmic and the Supernatural. At the end of that period, they referred to the chain of command², the cyclopean ignominy, the reign of Cronos and his sliding into arrogant behaviors which led to the 3rd Battle of the Titans, while at the same time, they described to us the 5th rebirth of life. Certainly, because I, like most members of the technical support team, did not actually participate in the cosmic journey, everything was an original experience for me. Particularly when they were describing the primary mammals and the phylogenetic tree of man, a description we all followed with much interest since we were ignorant about many of these things, while on the other hand, we learnt about our past and roots. In the end, the 5th great destruction suffered by Earth seemed to have benefitted the class of mammals and the course of life towards Homo sapiens. In any other case, things would have been completely different today’.

He finished with those words and then, he also remained silent and pensive, reminiscing about the continuation of the description of the events by Orpheas and Eurydice. Everyone in the group was silent and in a pensive mood! Was it the sorrow of the years past? Was it the remembrance of the beautiful moments? Was it their participation into a wonderful journey that had offered them knowledge and inner intuition? Or was it the White Crystal with which they had coexisted and which had affected them all radically, determining and shaping their lives? In any case, its impact is apparent. Every single one of them are unique for their character, their spiritual clarity, but also their outside appearance , since, apart from the fact that they have all been touched minimally by time, their faces all possess a light of childlike innocence, a gift of the White Crystal. Yet, although they remain quiet with their look in the past, it was certain that every one of them remembered the continuation of the description of the cosmic journey by Orpheas and Eurydice. In their minds, they all recall the continuation of the cosmic journey.

The separation of land and sea

As indeed the group had remembered, the description by Orpheas and Eurydice had reached all the way to 50 million years ago, when the 2nd Battle of the Titans was completed. Right after that, they embarked on the description of the 3rd Battle of the Titans, after they first went summarily through the main events of the final battle of the 2nd Battle of the Titans and the next day, after the end of hostilities, making a concise reference to the period 65.5 to 50 million years ago. Thus, the description of the 3rd Battle of the Titans commenced by Orpheas and Eurydice, with Orpheas, taking the podium first.

So, from the beginning of the creation of the universe, the cosmic travelers on the cosmic journey initially saw the separation of the twelve Supernatural Titanic Forces, wrenching themselves away from the Unified Force in energy form, and being initially trapped into the quantum vacuum and directly bound to the Unified Force. When the moment for the creation of the protostars came, they disengaged themselves from the quantum vacuum and engaged in their creative role for the ‘building’ of the universe, always being in a state of continuous empathetic communication with the Unified Force of the universe.

Years passed and the moment the wondrous planet and the solar system to which it will belong, came. Then the Unified Force partitions in two parts: into Uranus and Gaia, as named by the Ancient Greeks. That separation was as if an erotic energy egg broke, initially creating chaos and erebus. In this Chaos and Erebus, Uranus and Gaia emerged as separate entities, but maintaining covalent, erotic bonds. Uranus remains in energy form and slowly transforms himself into ‘Blue Uranus’ while at the same time, the energy body of Gaia intermixes with the material forming planet earth, producing a single living entity with a unified inner-conscientious self-observeness. Onto that planet, the Unified Force, Uranus will send forth its hypercosmic seed which will unite with Gaia, making the appearance of life on Earth possible, much later. But at the same time, he will also send its supernatural titanic seeds from which the Titanic Supernatural Forces shall come, direct descendants of Uranus and Gaia. On the fluid surface of the Earth, the incarnated titanic forces work unceasingly, with the cooperation of Gaia, the Mother Earth, gradually separating land from water, while at the same time, they cultivate into the terrestrial chemical labs the hypercosmic ‘seeds’ from the original celestial material of the components of life’.

Since the start of its creation, up until 3.8 billion years ago, the Earth suffers relentless mass bombardments of celestial bodies, some of which certainly continued past that period and at a gradually decreasing rate until they became sporadic or almost nonexistent. It would seem that it was from those bombardments that water appeared on Earth, either trapped into those primordial celestial bodies³ falling onto the surface of proto-Earth, prior to the completion of the process of its creation, or from the fall of the celestial bodies after the completion of the planet and the solidification of the crust of the Earth, or most probably, a combination of both. Selection and drop of those particular carbon-carrying celestial bodies which included hydrogen isotopes (H),⁴ elements suggesting the presence of water, were taken up by Oceanus and his wife, Tethys. Later, the same couple undertook the creation of the oceans, and it was for that reason that control of the element of water was assigned to them when the victorious Titans were distributing realms of authority over their dominion.

With time, the thickness of the crust of the Earth gradually increased as the planet was cooling down. The climatic conditions on the surface of the earth started balancing themselves out, allowing the presence of water, despite the fact that temperatures were already considerably high just as it was the density of its atmosphere.

With the ending of those blessed bombardments of the Earth with extraterrestrial celestial bodies, Oceanus and Tethys programmed a series of repeated rainfalls, about 4.3 billion years ago, which will further cool down the surface and solidify the crust of the Earth. The first islands of concrete land emerged, some of which have survived till today, named cratons.⁵ Uranus and Gaia were proud of their children, the twelve titans along with the lesser titanic forces, which worked unceasingly, planning the completion of the planet. Thus, the Pre-Archean Eon⁶ passed on Earth through which Earth was initially divided into a small above the sea land mass and a large but shallow ocean, about 4 billion years ago. Its solid crust is still relatively very thin and the temperature in the mantle quite high. As a result, the transition between the one ending and the one beginning megaeons, about 3.85 billion of years ago, will find Earth shaken by horrific earthquakes, continuous restructurings of the mantle and the solid mass of the crust, breaking of the crust and flowing out of huge masses of burning lava. The solid mass of the Earth is ripped into large and small rifts, breaking into the tectonic or lithospheric plates on which the landmass of the planet would be based. The appearance of volcanoes is the next step that relieved the interior pressure and high temperatures existing under the solid mass of the earth. With that restructuring, the Pre-Archean Eon megaeon ends with the Titans having separated land from water.

The beginning of the Archean Eon⁷ finds the Titans towards the end of the completion of a fragile unified supercontinent and a great shallow, waveless panocean but with temperatures in the mantle falling and the depth of the earth’s crust becoming greater and more solid. The first Pancocean was initially shallow and occupied much greater part of the earth’s crust compared to the land, while the first supercontinent was much smaller than what the landmass is today. Possibly, it was the size of Australia that was adjusting in size, getting smaller or bigger according to the climatic conditions. But with the passage of geologic time, the oceans gradually deepened and their surface became smaller while the expanse of the continents increased continuously. Unequivocally, the emergence of new crust by volcanic and sedimentary processes contributed to the increase of the landmass.

On that first supercontinent which will later be named Vaalbara, the Cyclops would build Gaia’s’ palaces, about 3.3 billion years ago, and it would be there that the Blue Uranus would visit her at night to relax from the day’s toil. During that era, 3.85 billion years ago, planet Earth would be considered complete as far as its general structure was concerned, and so, three of the children of Gaia and Uranus, would completely take over the care for the well-functioning of the planet. For their job, which was quite difficult and demanding, they were given three Hekatoncheires⁸ to which they would be permanently bound ever since, but also additional titanic forces. All of them belonged to the Supernatural Forces. So Asterope, or Sterops was assigned with the care of the crust, having as his assistants Briareus; Argus was assigned with the care of the mantle with Kottus as his assistant and Brontes was assigned the care of the core, with Gyges as his helper. Indubitably, multiskilled as they were, the Cyclops had at times taken up other roles, such as the creation of weapons for the Titans, the building of Cronos’ palaces and the prison of Tartarus, and such like. But it was mainly Gaia that empathetically was assigning secret and subtle constructions to them, such as those of the White Crystal and the Diamond Sickle.

During those times, the primordial terrestrial atmosphere was not amenable to developed lifeforms but it was amenable to the creation of life. Thus, in the geysers and high temperatures and pressures, the process for the emergence of life commenced, about 3.8 billion years ago. In the earth’s chemical factories, the continuous chemical experimentations in the organic soup would produce a positive result, since the titanic forces managed to create the first prokaryotic cell. Life on earth was a fact!

Do to the movement of the lithospheric plates, two types of impact appear: between two continental chunks of crust and between two oceanic chunks of crusts. In general, there are three types of collisions among tectonic plates: the divergent movement according to which the two lithospheric plates get away from one another and new crust ‘emerges’, the convergent movement according to which the two lithospheric places approach each other, while one sinks below the other, and the lateral sliding movement, according to which the two lithospheric plates slide past each other sideways. In the case of the convergent movement, we have different effects, depending on the type of movement. If two tectonic plates converge, we have the phenomenon of orogeny. If the convergence occurs between two crusts one of which is oceanic, then we also have orogeny but also volcanic activity. It goes without saying that whenever the oceanic crusts diverge from each other, then new oceanic crust is created, while when they converge, the already existing oceanic crust is destroyed and recycled. The creation of new oceanic crust and the destruction of the old are more or less of equal quantity, thus creating the phenomenon of the recycling of the oceanic crusts, resulting in oceanic crusts that are all undoubtedly much younger than the continental crusts.⁹ The solid crust of the Earth becomes stabilized about 3.85 billion of years ago.

For all those tectonics of the lithospheric plates, it is necessary to secure a seamless cooperation of the three Cyclops and their three assistants who are mainly responsible for the care of planet Earth, who are of course aided by the titanic forces when it is required. But more than anything else, it would be Sterope’s cooperation that was needed, who was taking care of the solid crust, along with Argus, who was taking care of the mantle of the Earth. The combined efforts of those two would benefit the developmental course of the Earth with the continuous movement of the lithospheric plates which move the continental plates of the Earth, either diverging or converging among them, creating at times great supercontinents. The cycle of creation, breakup, dispersion and re-creation of the supercontinents due to the movement of the lithospheric plates completes every 450 to 500 million years. There are indications for the existence of older supercontinents such as Vaalbara, Ur, Kenorland, Columbia, Protopangea, Pannotia, and others, the oldest of which have not been yet absolutely determined, despite their theoretical existence. The calculation of the older supercontinents are based on the theoretical studies of the movements and the direction of the mantle and by extension, of its impact on the crust of the Earth, either the continent or the oceanic, but also on the dating of the older parts of the Earth under the name cratons.

Thus, the work of the Cyclops and the Hekatoncheires was arduous, since it was on it that the success of the projects of the Titans depended, as well as the course of planet Earth as well life itself that would appear a bit later. Certainly, the Cyclops, together with the Hekantocheires, had taken up responsibility of the general care of the Earth, so as to ensure the seamless functioning of a living organism. But for whatever project that had to do with the oceans, they had to cooperate also with the most powerful of the titans, the wide-chested Oceanus. Undoubtedly, similar cooperation should also be achieved with the whole leadership of the titanic powers. To achieve that, they were in continuous empathetic intercommunication with the four Titans that comprised the spatiotemporal continuum. Oceanus for the dimension of the width, Hyperion for the dimension of length, Iapetus for the dimension of height and Cronos, for the dimension of time. So, indubitably, they were taking direct orders from the four most powerful Titans.

At the same time, therefore, with the movement of the lithospheric plates and the adjustment of the morphology of the visible surface of the Earth, the Cyclops were also taking care of the morphology of the oceans, with the active participation of Oceanus and Tethys. Gradually, as the tectonic plates were moving, they were also break up, and so the original panocean also broke up into smaller panoceans. Such a breakup, about 650 million years ago involved the breakup of the Panocean into the Panthalassian and the Panafrican oceans. A bit later, about 500 million years ago, it would assume the form of the Panthalassian and the Iapetean ocean, while at the same time, the Baltics, Siberia and other parts of the Earth in the form of large or small islands started to ‘emerge’. When, about 300 million years ago, supercontinent Pangaea would be formed, then the ocean would also re-unite to form the Panthalassian Ocean, maintaining however on the eastern part of Pangaea a small, separate part, under the name of Sea of Tethys, dedicated to Tethys.

Following the completion of the oceans, Oceanus and Tethys had been tasked with exercising power over every liquid element on Earth, until Cronos, fearing the accumulated strength of the couple, started to usurp gradually parts of their power and transferring them to others, thus continually decreasing the couple’s strength. In the darkness of Cronos’ scared mind, Oceanus appeared potentially threatening, while in fact he was not. We remember of course that, initially, the leadership of the titanic forces had been given to Oceanus, being the most peace-loving and most prudent Titan, but also because he was beloved by every other Supernatural and Natural Forces. But Cronos, despite the fact that he had grown to be an autocratic, supreme power on planet Earth, he had also grown jealous of the prestige enjoyed by Oceanus. So, amongst his immediate plans was for Cronos to get a chance to break it down. A good such chance offered itself when Oceanus volunteered to partition a part of his power and assign it to his wife, Tethys. Thus, the separation into the Sea of Tethys and the Panocean took place, which lasted from the beginning of the Paleozoic Era¹⁰ until the end of the Mesozoic Era¹¹ and expanded between the Eurasian and African continents. It took the name from the Greek ancient goddess Tethys, the wife of Oceanus. Today’s remnant of the Sea of Tethys is the Mediterranean and the Red Seas.

Throughout that great geological period, the Sea of Tethys had remained an oblong Sea that joined the two great terrestrial oceans. Under the supervision of the Cyclops and their helpers but also the directions of the Oceanus, that particular Sea was created with much loving care, and stood there for 500 million years. It went through many changes, while its form and limits shifted many times. Even at the time of Pangaea, the Sea of Tethys had been kept unaltered, even under a different shape, despite the fact that by then, all the oceans had united into the single Panthalassian Ocean. In that Sea and the limits set by the two continents, underwater troughs were formed, in which sediments were accumulated and it was from those that later the Alpine ranges were formed, such as the Pyrenees, the Dinaric Alps, the Pindos range, the Taurus Mountains, the Himalayas, and so on. Following the breakup of the Pangaea, the Sea of Tethys increased in volume and transformed itself into the ocean of Tethys, which was partitioned with the joining of the Eurasian and the African plates, and the appearance of India in South Asia, when it was further broken down into the Mediterranean and the Indian Ocean. About 15 million years ago, we witness the formation of the Mediterranean Sea, which has already been isolated and truncated from the Indian Ocean. Having an almost round shape, with a rocky landmass in the form of islands or smaller rocky islets which would be continuously rising in its middle, they would eventually comprise the Italian and the Greek peninsulas and the Mediterranean Islands, but mainly, the Greek islands of the Aegean Sea.

On Pangaea, there was the ultimate effort to join the available landmass into one by the titanic forces. From then on, there will be a slow and continuous course followed towards the separation of the continents which will end, about 25 million years ago with Earth’s current landmass morphology, eventually reaching its current form.

About 12 million years ago, the titanic forces would clash in fierce struggles in the area of the central Mediterranean and as a result, they would cause ongoing geological restructurings in the wider area, including the whole area of the Balkan Peninsula. Large chunks of the landmass would submerge while new seas would emerge, rivers would form and huge lakes would remain cut off from the larger Mediterranean basin. All those would in their turn disappear to give way to the emergence of new landmass and new seas. The continuous alteration of positions and shapes between the marine and the continental elements occurred as a result of the titanic forces fighting in the area. Nothing would remain the same as everything would undergo a radical change.

Finally, about 2.58 million years, the last glaciers of the Pleistocene Epoch¹² appeared which would last up until 20 thousand years ago and would set the beginning of the Holocene Epoch.¹³ Following the appearance of the last glaciers, modern human civilization would commence and progress at a great pace. But those titanic skirmishes would continue until the birth of Zeus and the domination of the Natural Powers, about 2 to 0.5 billion years ago, stabilizing the form of the sea, but not the relationship between the two, since great areas would continually be exchanged between the marine and the continental elements, to such a degree that the level of the sea would rise and fall at a rate of 200 meters on average. The skirmishes and restructuring would continue until about 50 thousand years, but by then, the landmass and the shape of the seas would have acquired their final form, and the results of such changes would have had an impact on lifeforms according to kind. Despite the destruction caused by the geological battles of the titans, Natural Forces would manage to dominate and impose a pan-terrestrial peace that would follow natural law.

The palaces of Gaia – Gaia

Indeed from the start, the Cyclops and the Hekatoncheires demonstrated extremely high responsibility for the work they had been tasked with. They were fully cognizant of the vital importance their work had for the development of the planet but also for the beneficial long life of their mother, Gaia. Their cooperation had been completely successful, diligent and completely seamless, while their cooperation with the rest of the titanic forces, highly commendable. After finishing their work, Oceanus and Tythys, with the phenomenon of the rain and the creation of the terrestrial panocean, the Cyclops then took up their role, caring for the good function of the earth.

In the beginning therefore, in proportion to the liquid element, the continental crust of the Earth occupied a very small part of the Earth’s surface, since the panocean was very shallow. But gradually, the landmass increased and the surface of the oceans shrank, to reach at a certain point, the present proportion, with 70 % of the Earth’s surface covered by water.

In their first attempt to separate land from water, the Hekatoncheires and the auxiliary titanic powers created the oldest known supercontinent on Earth which is estimated to have been the particularly fragile Supercontinent Vaalbara,¹⁴ whose joining began 3.8 billion years ago. It seemed that it was completed about 3.1 billion years ago, while it had already started to transform into the next supercontinent. On this supercontinent and on today’s area of Kaapvaal Craton, the Cyclops erected their mother Gaia’s palaces. On the fragile, soft crust of the Earth with the gigantic geological forces exercised through the depths of the mantle, Gaia’s palaces were continuously on the move, as if they had been erected on a ship that travelled on calm oceans, but which at times would be agitated and shatter the tranquility of Gaia’s palaces. Planet earth was still malleable and pulsating as a result of every natural force affecting it and so, Vaalbara would be prone to a breakup. But the Cyclops and the Hekatoncheires, along the auxiliary titanic forces, were struggling to keep it in one piece. They would open crevices in certain points to ‘release’ pressure and temperature as well as the pressure coming from the mantle in the form of volcanoes that spewed hot lava. But even they did not manage to prevent the eventual breakup. The breakup was beyond their powers to prevent, and so, following the order of Blue Uranus, they focused on the points that Gaia’s palaces had been built. They had to be saved at any cost. Blue Uranus had understood that they had been hasty in building Gaia’s palaces on a fragile continental riff that was flowing on a very fragile mantle with still very high temperatures. It still had to cool down considerably, to allow for the solid crust to become thicker, more solid and stable. Natural geological forces should not have been superseded in any way, since it is only through natural evolution and selection that a steady framework can be achieved, to create anything natural or artificial. Uranus consoled Gaia who was crestfallen and quite deflated, seeing that her palaces were in danger. Uranus then explained to Gaia that the small part of the landmass on which her palaces had been erected could be preserved, given that such project fell within the rubric of the Supernatural forces, and consequently, the multi-skilled Cyclops with the aid of their helpers, would manage to save them. Indeed, when the breakup of Vaalbara occurred, two chucks of it were salvaged, that can in fact be still seen today. The first is at Kaapvaal Craton with Gaia’s palaces, which today is at the Limpopo County, South Africa.¹⁵

The efforts of the Supernatural Forces did not stop of course, nor did they slack, since to keep Gaia alive it was - and still is – necessary that the lithospheric plates to keep on moving continuously. At the same time, they also had to protect the part of Vaalbara that Gaia’s palaces existed. The Cyclops, therefore, with continuous seamless cooperation and hypereffort, certainly with the good help of the Hekatoncheires and the auxiliary titanic powers, continued moving the lithospheric plates with simultaneous rearrangement of the continental and the marine crust. Fragile Vaalbara had indicated a tendency for breakup from the start. To that supercontinent, new landmass was added, either by means of the divergent movement of the lithospheric plates or the deepening of the oceans or by volcanic landfilling and embanking, and gradually became supercontinent Ur. Directing whatever chunk of landmass was here and there or emerged at that time to the surface of the Earth towards the remaining parts of the older Vaalbara, the Cyclops created the next Supercontinent Ur, whose size was not greater that present-day Australia. It covered approximately 15% of today’s continental landmass of the earth¹⁶ but despite that, it is still considered a supercontinent on account of its being unique. In this way, the Cyclops had already secured to a great extent Gaia’s palaces. The clear and present danger to see them dissolve at any time had been averted, although some extra work would still be necessary to secure them permanently.

The solid crust of the earth became more stable and compact, but the temperatures in the mantle still needed to decrease. For that reason, the area under the name Kaapvaal Craton was under the ongoing surveillance of the Cyclops, in their effort to keep Gaia’s palaces untouched. That surveillance was kept up in every change of the morphology of the surface of the Earth. Thus, that small part of the earth was preserved untouched till today, despite all the movement of the lithospheric plates of the earth and all the changes and creation of new continents or supercontinents that followed, preserving Gaia’s palaces untouched for billions of years, but with their position shifting all the time. Up until today – the myths and legends say – the palaces of mother Earth, Gaia, lie well-protected from man’s prying eyes, and they will reveal themselves only when humankind raises itself to the intellectual level of true and real respect towards the environment and to Gaia, the Mother Earth. Once, at an area more to the northeast of Gaia’s palaces and at a distance of about 4 thousand kilometers, the last phylogenetic tree of man would commence its evolutionary course, under the protection of Gaia and the merciful Iapetide Premetheus¹⁷ about 6 to 7 million years ago.

A little after the completion of the creation of the supercontinent Ur, the first prokaryotic organisms would appear in the oceans. The friendly to life marine environment would accommodate life which, lacking antagonism would replicate itself and fill the oceans with genetic material. Earth, as a unified living organism under the form of ‘Gaia’ was
