    I really liked this short story collection. Felicity Jones really knows how to pick them. She's fantastic.

    Felicity Jones is an inspiration. I'm glad I found her books. Rom com plus scifi, an unusual combination. Very light humor.

I was with my old friend Mike O'Bryan at a restaurant for breakfast on Monument Square in Piscawen, NY. Two or three of our other friends were supposed to be there too, but hadn't shown up yet.

We sat at the counter and ordered coffees. Everybody had things to do-many excuses. The only time we could meet was early on a Saturday morning for breakfast-old high school buddies.

You won't believe who I saw yesterday, Mike said.

Who?

Sharon.

Sharon who? I had to ask, but knew the answer.

You know who. From People's Avenue.

Where did you see her?

At the airport—she was flying out. I barely recognized her. She said to say hello.

You know, I saw her at her brother's wake and didn't recognize her, I said. It was like she had a facelift.

Yeah, we've all had reverse facelifts.

Right.

Still thinking about that redhead?

I couldn't believe he brought this up. Not as much anymore, Mike. Though, I've been wondering-like, maybe in the afterlife-in the Kingdom of Heaven-do you think I could get back together with Ginger?

Probably, that would be about what it would take.

Yeah, hopefully, we'd meet in heaven, not some other place.

Then the other guys arrived. Mike had gone out with Sharon, my old girlfriend's roommate, until she dumped him. Sharon ejected Mike from her social circle about a year before my heart breaker of a redhead severed me from her charms.

I kind of wished he hadn't brought it up, because I had almost forgotten about Ginger, and didn't think about her every day, like I used to. But, I usually liked talking
