If she birth’s a boy, you lose because her claim is greater by blood if not birth order. You want your son declared the heir before the king dies and before the brat is born.”

    “All this time in the harem and you are as sharp as ever,” said Lona.

    “You need my family’s support to cut out the Pardinthas.”

    “Exactly.” Lona didn’t allow the other woman to ask the next logical question. “What is your price?”
