About this ebook
What He Likes is an anthology of short, and fifty word, stories, which will appeal to young women of all ages.
Just the right amount of humour makes it the ideal read on a coffee break, a commute to work, or last thing at night.
Sarah-Jane Steadman
Sarah-Jane's father said she was born with an enquiring nature; her mother said she was born just plain nosey. Her three sisters each bought a lock for their bedroom door. Sarah-Jane's first word was "book" and she never looked back. By the age of five she had two ambitions - the first to be a writer and the second to marry the boy next door. She has achieved both. Sarah-Jane still lives in Burslem, with her husband, artist, Ernesto Steadman, their two children, and pets, Ceefer, Deefer and Arfur Rabbit. She writes short stories and quirky poetry. Saah-Jane blogs as "That Burslem Girl" Website: https://thatburslemgirl.wixsite.com/website

PANCAKE DAY
Lydia Stevens stood in the middle of her small front garden wondering how on earth she had ever thought she could convert the dilapidated lean-to into an aromatherapy studio. Three months ago, the first time she had viewed Primrose Cottage, it was the deciding factor. She had seen so many 'cottages' her head hurt just thinking of some of them.
In her mind, a 'cottage' was a small detached home, with a thatched roof, roses growing around the front door, a small front garden and a larger plot at the back for growing vegetables. This, however, did not seem to be the view of various estate agents, who persuaded her to visit such places as a semi-detached house, optimistically named 'Dingle Dell', in a city, and a pile of stones 'needing some restoration'.
No-one was more surprised than Aiden Beaumont, the sole Estate Agent in Lower Pailton, to see Lydia jump out of her car and declare, This is it! I'll have it!!
