About this ebook

We all get to sit and cry; we all get to wonder why. We all get to experience pain; we all have days we cannot explain. This is an excellent way to describe the human condition. Regardless of the level of intensity, everybody has the blues sometimes, and there is not a lot of choice in the matter. However, there is a choice we make; it is whether we're going to live as victims or victors.

In this book, you will learn why taking responsibility is the most important step to your health and well-being and the steps to take to open the door to anything you desire.

    Introduction

We all get to sit and cry and get to wonder why. We all experience pain; all of us have days we cannot explain.

The above is an excellent way to describe the human condition. Regardless of the level of intensity, everybody has the blues sometimes, and there is not much choice in the matter. However, there is a choice we make; it is whether we’re going to live as victims or victors.

I’ve tried to understand what goes into the victim mentality, which seems to be so prevalent these days.

A victim mentality is a constant global mindset: I am what I am because of unfair treatment by an individual, group, or system, and I cannot rise above it. Therefore, I am not RESPONSIBLE for my actions. I am the victim.

The above is a mini version of the victim mentality, and I think we can all identify with it.

To be healthy, we must incorporate an active mind, body, and spirit. So, let’s examine how we can get one step towards health by ending the victim mentality we may be experiencing.

I want to distinguish between someone treating us as a victim and having a victim mentality. It is not like the old horse and carriage; we can have one without the other. Abusers feel victimized by the people they are hurting emotionally or even physically is a typical scenario. Someone may genuinely victimize us and still not think or act like a victim.

Raised in the typical suburban home; I am the third of six with a mother, father, and five siblings (all girls). As a result, I had difficulty taking responsibility
