El autor reveló por primera vez, la secreta alianza entre los agentes soviéticos y la Gestapo nazi antes de la segunda guerra mundial, cómo Moscú ordenó el asesinato de Jan Masaryk y cómo fue llevada a cabo la ejecución por el agente soviético Otto Katz, alias André Simón (que posteriormente fue condenado con Clementis porque sabía demasiado). Entre otras revelaciones este libro ofrece el auténtico relato de cómo los agentes soviéticos salvaron la vida del presidente Roosevelt en Teherán, de las actividades de la “Rote Kapelle” en Alemania y sus bandas de secuestradores.
