    READER’S TRAIL MIX: A COLLECTION OF SHORT STORIES takes you on a journey through three unconnected stories. The story of “Fool’s Gold” follows two brothers, Jeremy and Michael, near the end of their search to find their deceased grandfather’s treasure in a small Arizona town. Along the way, they will encounter car trouble, overcome their differences, and discover how valuable their reward truly is.
    In “A Hero’s Dilemma” a young knight named Garek and his best friend Trass arrive at the snow-covered town of Winter’s Den, intending to personally free the town from its oppressors. During their mission, Garek encounters an unexpected figure from his childhood. Will he learn to overcome his past and rise to greatness, or will his emotions consume him?
    “Snake in the Grass” is a story of cat and mouse. The year is 1963 and the Cold War is in full force. An American spy has just returned from an assignment and is temporarily residing in a San Diego hotel. While he sits at the bar, he spots one of the deadliest Russian spies in history a few seats away from him. He makes a choice to intercept her and save his country at any cost. This impromptu mission puts his training and skills to the ultimate test. Their encounter will shape the fate of the country, one way or another.
