    Introduction

    Award winning singer songwriter Sam Lowry[1] Hunt was born December 8th 1984 to parents Allen and Joan[2]: an insurance inspector[3] and third grade teacher respectively[4][5]. He has two siblings: brothers Van, who looks after his cat Dandelion while he’s out on tour[6], and Mike[7], who is relatively uncovered in the press.

    During his childhood, Sam lived with his family in the suburbs of Cedartown, Georgia[8][9]. Located nearby Liberty Hill, the town was made famous by Waylon Jennings in his country song of the same name[10].

    Early Life and Education

    Throughout his teenage years, Hunt attended Cedartown High School[11], where he played as a quarterback in the local football team[12][13]. He initially aspiring to have a career in the sport, and dedicated much of his life to football.

    This drive lead to early success in the field: Hunt was named 2002 Co-Offensive Player of the Year by Rome News Tribune[14], selected for the Georgia Sportswriters Association All-State Class AAA first-team as a general player, and nominated for Wendy’s High School Heisman award[15][16]. All of this before he graduated from high school in 2002.

    Despite fulfilling the archetypal American dream; Hunt remains candid about his faith and religious upbringing. He has, however, hinted at his Christian roots. In a 2014 interview with the Washington
