About this ebook

Bob Williams, to all outward appearances, led a very normal and mundane life. He did not try to be the center of attention and in fact had done his utmost to be as normal and unobtrusive as he knew how to be.

His one experience with the government, as a celebrity, had made him cautious to the extreme. Bob made one mistake. He tried to help a friend in dire need, and the government caught him again.

This government agency not only knew his telepathic powers were as powerful as ever, but had him under sedation in some unknown place. He wondered if he would ever see the outside world again.

He knew the government was frightened of people like himself, but he was about to encounter something that frightened them even more than he did. A lot more.

    Psi Exam - Ernest Polmateer

    Introduction

People have always dreamed of being telepathic and some believe we already are to a certain extent. Certainly there are those that want you to believe they are and have shows on television and other media to showcase their supposed talents. I wondered what could happen if some of us were really good telepaths.

What if even those that thought they were very strong telepaths were to find themselves diametrically opposed to some alien culture, where telepathic powers are the norm and much more powerful than what humans have experienced. How would we handle that situation?

In this situation we have a man who is a strong telepath and thought he had fooled the government into believing he was not. As you will see, things are not as simple as he thought.

This book is a work of fiction.  Characters, dialogue, and events are all constructs of the author’s imagination.  Any resemblance to actual events or persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental.

    Awareness

He thought he was awake , but not completely sure yet. His head felt awful, like it was full of cotton. Vision was blurry. Ears were ringing. He had to pee.

Rolling over, he grabbed onto the edge of the cot to steady himself. He made his unwilling body sit up and then stand. He staggered to the toilet on the other side of the room. He wished it were right next to the cot, so he wouldn’t have to stand up
