About this ebook
50 Men in 50 States in one year...Could you complete the challenge?!
It was ridiculous what Cherry's editor was suggesting—spend 50 weeks on the road, examining a modern woman’s emerging sexuality by hooking up with different men all across America! I mean, sure, that would make a heck of a series of newspaper articles. And like Cherry's editor told her, any number of male reporters would have jumped at the chance to write the series.
So, why not a woman this time? Why not Cherry?
But could Cherry actually go through with it--get on a plane, fly to Alabama, and begin her erotic adventures? Guess there was only one way to find out.
And--more importantly--would she find true love along the way?
Joan Alaric Abalon
Joan Alaric Abalon lives in Northern California with her husband and two black cats. "Alabama Cherry" is the first of what she hopes to be 51 naughty adventures of her intrepid heroine, Cherry.

ALABAMA
With his tawny head between my legs and his muscular arms literally flexing their way up toward my breasts, I was having a heck of a lot of difficulty remembering if his name was Alan or Adam…or maybe it was Adrian.
Some A-name—between gasps, at least I managed to remember that much.
And, of course, he was from Alabama.
I mean, he had to be from Alabama, or it wouldn’t have counted, right?
But, oh my…what was that boy doing now?
Is that how they did that here in Mobile?
God, but I loved my job!
***
You’re sending me to freaking Alabama?!
To start with,
Wendy informed me, handing over the pitch pages. After that, it will be a different state each week.
I couldn’t wrap my head around what my editor was asking of me. But that means I’ll be on the road for fifty weeks.
Unless we add in the District of Columbia,
Wendy grinned. Then you’ll be gone for fifty-one. But you’ll have at least one free day each week when you’re not traveling. You could use that to fly home to Los Angeles if you want.
But this is insane!
I studied the two pages she had given me; they outlined the series of articles that she wanted me to write for the newspaper. You’re basically asking me to sleep with a different guy in every state.
No-no, that’s not true. It’s not about you getting your ya-yas off,
Wendy insisted. The last thing I want is salacious journalism. What I do want is for this series to be a true social experiment. One woman’s journey from coast-to-coast, blue states to red states and back to blue again. I want an exploration, not just of female sexuality, but of the differing male responses to it across the nation.
By sleeping with fifty men…fifty-one if you include the District of Columbia!
She sighed dramatically, as if I had been the one insulting her. Cherry, you came this close to being short-listed for a Pulitzer last year for your series on transforming homeless communities. I would never suggest that a reporter of your caliber sleep with just anybody. What I am pitching to you is that you cross the country, exploring not just this extraordinary land, but the variations in its male psyche as it responds to a modern woman’s emerging sexuality. If, by doing so, you choose to sleep with any of these gentlemen…well, that would be your prerogative.
I looked back down at the pitch pages. Is this because I just broke up with Rory?
A little bit,
she admitted. Look, sweetie, it’s no secret that I never thought Rory was good enough for you. I’ve always felt that he took advantage of your sweetness. As good-looking as he was, Rory was also a…well, a male slut.
Thanks, Wendy.
Oh, no reflection on you, Cherry. Certain men will never be domesticated no matter how hard we women try, and Rory just happens to be one of those men.
And you think me going out and screwing my way across America will somehow make me feel better about Rory cheating on me, is that it?
"I
