The Muslim Tipping Point
()
About this ebook
With 30 dead and 387 injured in 2017 the UK and over 20,000 suspects being tracked by MI5 it is patently obvious that the Government’s anti-terrorism strategy has failed.
We are now hovering on a Tipping Point with the alternatives of a downward spiral or, more optimistically, creation of a British community within which Muslims and non Muslims respect each other, interact and work together harmoniously.
The Muslim Tipping Point radically rethinks how to move forward by recognising the many strengths of the Muslim religion; confronting the chauvinistic and sometimes brutal way that they enforce their religious and family obligations and recognising that young Muslims are ready for a change.
Unlike so many doom-mongers, the author believes that a greater understanding of the Muslim religion and far closer co-operation with young Muslims could tip the balance towards a more unified British community with Muslims retaining and satisfying the tenets of their religion.
To this end The Muslim Tipping Point explains what created our current situation and why young Muslims worldwide are drawn to terrorism. Equally importantly, he explains how the British Government's Middle Eastern policies have inflamed the situation rather than damping it down.
The author then focuses on the crucial differences between Western and Muslim culture and how these differences influence the authority that Muslims follow in the UK and how social skills, attitudes and education have influenced integration.
The Muslim Tipping Point could help us all to radically rethink how to move forward together.

Preface
Following the terrorist attacks in Manchester, London and across Europe everyone is wondering how did we get to the situation we are in. How did it start and where will it all end?
All the signs indicate that we are now hovering on a Tipping Point with the alternatives of a downward spiral or, more optimistically, creation of a British community within which Muslims and non-Muslims respect each other, interact and work together harmoniously.
Change is definitely in the air, both in Christian and Muslim attitudes. The reaction of residents in Manchester and London following the 2017 terrorist attacks sent a clear message to followers of ISIS that terrorism would not lead to their aim of inter-racial violence in the UK.
In Saudi Arabia, the home of Islam, the spiritual leader that guides Muslims around the world, thousands of young people each year are going abroad for their education, bringing back their hopes and dreams to their homeland.
The Saudi Government itself has been rocked by the threat of ISIS to its borders and is concerned about revolution within the country. The collapse of oil prices, means that they will now, for the first time, have to tax their citizens. To develop their economy this will inevitably lead to more young male and female Saudis going out to work where they will interact with the opposite sex and demand more rights.
Ironically, a similar shortage of labour in the UK, caused by Brexit, could improve the rate of integration by having a big, positive impact upon the job opportunities of young people from deprived areas.
Another positive sign more close to home. The 2017 General Election showed that the youth of the UK will not accept being preached to by their elders anymore and are determined to reap more benefits from society. They now know they can influence the Government and will not hesitate to do so if they are not listened to.
All the signs suggest that the UK can move from the current Tipping Point towards a peaceful, integrated society if, and only if, the UK Government and Muslim parents listen to and work together with our young people to deliver their aspirations.
Unfortunately, Governments and parents both failed to listen and comprehend when young Muslims spoke out in 2013 on behalf of a young, Tunisian market trader who burned himself to death in protest against a bullying government official. His death triggered a wave of protest, by young people, in Tunisia, Egypt, Bahrain and Libya.
The suppression of these protests by Islamic States, using arms and ammunition provided by the West, combined with the ongoing instability in Iraq and Syria, inflamed the already fraught Middle Eastern situation, spreading the fighting like a petrol bomb right across the Middle East and into North Africa.
Western leaders totally misread the young peoples’ protests as a plea for democracy and freedom from the restrictions of Islam. In fact it was, more likely, a protest against corrupt dictatorships and a cry for the jobs, wealth and opportunities that they enviously observed every day on the internet and TV.
Consequently, as young people have always done since time immemorial, young Muslims rebelled, some heading across the Mediterranean to Europe, whilst others took to wearing more traditional clothing or going the whole hog to join the ISIS cause.
In spite of the wave of demonstrations in 2013 young Muslims in developing countries are now further away from job opportunities and wealth than they ever were, with tourism in Arab countries collapsed and the creation of wide ranging war zones.
The whole dreadful scenario leaves us with no choice but to urgently take a fresh look at how we can make integration work in the UK and to do this we need to have far more empathy and understanding of Muslim culture.
Great Britain has a long track record of integrating the immigrants we need for our economy. In the overwhelming majority of cases these immigrants have been absorbed into our culture, our creativity, individuality, desire to question and integrated successfully. This book explains how together we can achieve a unified, Great Britain which shares opportunities equally with the Muslim community.
Chapter 1
Why are young Muslims worldwide drawn to terrorism?
There are approximately 1600 million Muslims around the world compared with about 2000 million Christians. Yet Muslims only hold 6% of the world’s total wealth while Christians hold 55%. Worse still, per capita income in Muslim countries is nearly half that of non-Muslim countries with a substantial Christian population.
The world-wide imbalance in wealth and opportunity is also exhibited in areas of the United Kingdom. Muslims’ income on average here is generally only 68% of non-Muslims but the average income is far lower in some of the more isolated communities.
Before the internet came along and televisions became more affordable, Muslims around the world observed tourists with their displayed wealth coming to their countries but many locals were in remote communities away from the city centres.
TV and the internet thrust Western wealth right down their throats, showing young people from ordinary Western families improving their lot – creating the driver for young
