Foreword
I sometimes wonder if there is a reality we are refusing to face as women or whether the world is failing us; it seems the world fails to understand that all a girl wants is to be loved sincerely, unconditionally with no strings attached.
Girl/woman, you may be at a point in your love life or marriage where you feel, Wow! That’s it! I have not only heard enough but I’ve had enough and it ends right here, right now!
You may be running down the list of your prospects; men who approached you and who may even have asked for your hand in marriage, but who you turned down because you were convinced that the man who’s currently in your life was the one for you.
Perhaps we need to stop and think, discover what really makes a man happy in a love relationship. Is it the good sex that you give him? Is it your looks, education, food that you cook for him, the way you walk or is it in the way you talk? And for sure the truth cannot be disputed girl that naturally, a woman wants to belong somewhere, with someone who truly loves and adores her.
A Moment of Truth
This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it,
so go the words in the old hymn. Joy is guaranteed each day I wake, so it’s clear to me that my happiness lies in my ability to believe and make life happen. I am going to throw a question to you, beautiful lady, and you have to be true to yourself and give yourself a straight answer: Are you happily married? Are you just tolerating your marriage for the sake of your children or for the sake of your community which helps to make you who you are? Are you part of the estimated 10% who, according to research, are happily married or are you part of the approximately 90% who are just surviving and putting on a happy face while you’re actually burning out? If God gives us the gift of life to enjoy, then why must we settle for less? Come with me on a journey of personal experiences with girlfriends who give their views on the beauty of marriage and how it can turn into a cruel experience when a third party is allowed to come between the married couple. Third parties come in a variety of forms, they can be in-laws, money, children, poor communication and adultery – the list goes on, you can add to it as you compile the story of your life, be it good or bad.
In life you can either choose to allow the prevailing circumstances to make you as miserable as Hell or you can choose to enjoy life. Either way, it is a choice you have to
