- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is a really good resource on the title. He has two parts: looking at the five key passages ( Gen 1-2; Gen 19; Lev 18, 20; Rom 1; ITim 1), and then addressing the main counterarguments (the Bible talks about it very little; a better kind of homosexuality; gluttony and divorce; it isn't fair; wrong side of history; God is a God of love). He writes with a lot of compassion, but also resolution. He deals only in an appendix with gay marriage.Other books that might be good: Defending Marriage: Twelve Arguments for Sanity by A. Esolen; works by Robert P. George; The Intolerance of Tolerance by Carson; What is Marriage? by Ryan Anderson and RP George. This would be a good item for honest inquiry from the other side.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5It had many good points and does an excellent job of quoting the Bible for relevant references. I did not agree with the book 100% but I do believe it is a good book to help people see what the Bible says about this issue.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Dr. Kevin de Young provides the reader with an apologetic proposition supporting the orthodox traditions regarding homosexuality. Steeped heavily in scripture, this is a meaty theological exploration of the highly charged and controversial issues of homoeroticism, same sex attraction, homosexuality and legalised same sex marriage. I highly recommend this book for those who want to understand"the whole counsel of God" surrounding these issues.
